Bloomfield coffee maker overflows, even with plain filter

The outlet of the cone filter holder is clogged. Normally its just a hole you can clean out but some units have a valve that is pushed up/open by your coffee pot. That valve may be clogged or if you changed the coffee pot it may not be opening due to the different pot. Clean valve or just remove it so the coffee will run into coffee pot.

I have a vintage GE coffee perculator made in the 1930's and 1940's Cat No. 119P102 which I bought from an antinque store in Chicago 2 months ago. It has worked beautifully until yesterday morning...

The first problem is the time you will use a product of the very old time , and ask you not wonder what it mains happened in the interval between 1930 and 2016 maybe its not only the changeof 110V to 120 volts it is not much difference but far enough to worry and what the effect is on the heat dissipation of the heating element inside (the coffee must be too hot 90 and 95 degrees are normal all the cables and more parts of Should Be Replaced if it was not modifiedin all Those years, it Should Be modified, and it was modified there must be for shure a big wire resistor be Placed in serial to release to the high aC power on the heating element. and maybe many more parts. gaskets cables and more must Be Replaced iif not safety for all. preventinfo and usefull to a hot Become bitter tasting coffee temperature.

I have a manning bowman coffee percolator and the fuse is blown. Where can I get replacement fuses?

I couldn't find a replacement fuse for my Manning-Bowman coffee maker, so I repaired it. The fuse consists of three parts: the square end pieces and a rectangular connecting piece between them. (They all look like brass.) They're soldered together, and when the pot gets too hot (as it did when I plugged it in before adding water), the solder melts and the connecting piece drops out, shutting off the pot.
To repair the fuse, you'll need solder, a soldering iron, flux, and a small brush. You can get these supplies at a stained glass hobby shop. Leave the end pieces in place and put the connecting piece between them. Brush a little flux on the pieces, heat the solder and put a bead between the connecting piece and each end piece. Let cool and clean it.

Vintage Manning-Bowman Percolator fix-it guy says thermostat bad

Greetings,

I have an "Atomic" globe type art deco Manning Bowman percolator from 1947. It does not have a thermostat, just a fuse.

If your pot is blowing the fuse, are you using one with the correct amperage for the pot? This pot pulls 350 watts which works out to 3.18 amps. watts/volts=amps. You'd need a fuse that would allow the heating element to generate a minimum of 350 watts before blowung.
