Does it use any kind of battery? This can be an indication they are going flat.

replace batteries. While holding the light button, turn the wall switch go and off one or two times. You should hear a slight beep and the remote reacquaints itself to that receiver.

Receiver 85112-04 need a replacement for hunter fan remote receiver which is housed in the based of the fan in ceiling.

I realize that this is an old post. However, the best solution is to replace the receiver with 3 or 4 speed wire harness, which includes the capacitor, fan speed switch, forward/reverse switch and female plug for $15 as of today's writing. While you may be able to find a 85112-04 replacement receiver, I found them to be an expensive solution at $80. In addition, there is no telling how long the replacement receiver would last. To purchase a 4 speed wire harness for this Hunter fan, they can be ordered from
Casablanca. Casablanca you say? Yes! Casablanca is a subsidiary of Hunter Fans. This 4 speed wire harness, part number K016501H01, is standard in many Hunter and Casablanca fans. Hopefully this will help someone looking for a low-cost solution to replacing the fan. Link below:

My hunter fan remote control is not working

First of all you should check & ensure the infrared is emiting from the remote control. Though we cant see this infared beam with bare eyes, i found a trick to do so in http://www.unique-stuff.co.cc/fixing_remote_control_check_infrared.html Most of the problems is weakened infared beam. Replace the batteries when needed.

Beeping fan

yes, you can take the little,(cant remember what it is called) out of the circuit board in the fan itself, if you do it yourself please remember to turn the power off! if you know a electrician, hey should probably be able to tell you what it is that makes the beeping noise.

Similar problem: Does Hampton Bay Vaulted Ceiling Mount exist?

Ok so here is the deal. No there does not seem to be a Hampton Bay specific mount. The mount that comes standard in most of the Hampton Bay fans can handle the angle of most standard (read: small) angles. I do not know if it will be the case with all Hunter products, but the adapter for the Hunter fan that I replaced, worked with my new Hampton Bay. So now, I have from the downrod up is from the original Hunter fan. Hope this helps.
