I would check the flame sensor is clean also check air filter you could turn off the power to the unit and see if it resets it self .

Furnace runs too much thermastat is on 78 but temp only goes to 70. funace keeps going off and on

It sounds as if the furnace is working properly. The thermostat is not calibrated.
It is cold here and my heat runs a lot. If you can live with the numbers being off then don't worry about it.

My son's 95 ford taurus keeps overheating and he doesn't have any heat, seems to have coolant in the radiator, would it be a thermastat problem?

It is probably low on coolant or is air locked. Make sure the rad is full to the top and there is coolant in the overflow bucket. When you put the rad cap on, do not tighten it all the way. Just turn it on past the first stop. Run the car with the cap loose like that for a couple days and keep checking the coolant level in the rad. Keep the heater turned on as well and the cooling system should fill and force the air out. After a couple of days the rad should stay full and you can tighten the cap to it's proper position. Hope this helps.

Why is the heat blowing cold. i already put antifreeze and it turns hot for a couple days then its cold again

are u loosing fluid??, if u have to keep adding and u see no leaks then u got a head gasket problem also if its winter and cold where u live then try some card board in front of the radd maby have the thermastat replaced 60% antifreez-40%water mix will do, pure antifreez in the cooling systerm will make it work too effectivly and the motor wont hit operating temp well, but if u dont loose antifreeeezzzz then my bets on the thermastat but try covering the radd infront with card board first only cover one 3dr to one half of the radd after doing this watch ur temp gauge cause i dont know ur climate and how cold its out where ur at HOPE THIS HELPED THANXX!!

RAds don't get hot anymore

rads not heating could be down to old system ie pipework etc and sludge building up. r there any cold spots on rads? when boiler turning off do u mean going to reset? if so could be over heat prob at boiler . there should be a pressure pipe coming from boiler going to outside if its a combi. if this is leaking your expansion vessel might need re charged as this is where the water will be going.

Need to know what the settings are for the range adjustment A,B,C,D slide switch on the front panel on a Amana PTH123A35AC PTAC

Here they are;

Position A, Cool 70-78, Heat 65-73
Position B, Cool 68-81, Heat 68-76
Position C, Cool 66-83, Heat 61-78
Position D, Cool 63-88, Heat 58-83

Amana calls this a Temerature Limiter and says to only set one switch on at a time. If all switches are off then the unit is at full operating range.
Please rate this answer to let me know if it was the fix.

The IPboard part no. BN44-0012A is bad. We had to replace 5 monitors with the same problem. If under warranty call 1-800-Samsung for repair or exchange.
