Question about Xante Ilumina Digital Color Press Printer

Gloss or semi gloss paper stuck in fuser

When printing on gloss or semi gloss paper it won't go through the fuser. I'm assuming it's because we're using actual offset printing paper, and not digital printing paper. Is there a way to adjust the fuser settings to accept this paper?

You need to change your setting for media type, and media weight( you can use auto for this setting) but for media type you have several options. Bond, glossy, plain, etc. This setting adjust temperature for the fuser. You can do this at the front panel in menus.

My printer is stuck on photo paper how can I get to A4 plane paper

You did not really give much information to go on (like what make and model of printer (Epson, HP, Canon, Brother, etc.) nor the operating system, etc.) BUT assuming you are using Windows and an Epson printer, then go into Start - Control Panel and to the Printers section. Right click on your printer, left slick on Properties and then change the type and size of paper to what you want to mostly use and click OK. By doing that, you set the default paper and size - you can also set the type of printing like, say, text and graphics. When printing anything else, like say photos on gloss paper, just change when you want to print using the different setting. It will only be used for that print job as will always default back to what you set as described.

Correct settings for printing on semi-gloss paper. I keep getting smears when printing and photo doesn't come out clearly

Well, it would be good to know why the photos are not good quality... like blurry or bad color or? Are you using a good paper? I have great luck with Canon glossy, and love the matte paper from Staples. Matte is actually easier and all around better color saturation, I find. I guess that you are using too much saturation of ink... see if your dialog box for printer options has a way to make saturation less intense. Also, I assume you are using the same dialog box to choose the type of paper. That is important, since different papers absorb ink at different speeds and amounts. I hope that helps... keep trying!

Lexmark E460dn paper stuck

If the paper is stuck on the fuse, I am assuming you mean the fuser. You will probably have to replace the fuser. You can remove the fuser and try to remove the paper and then reinstall the fuser. Could be a sticky sensor as well.

Hi. my photo printing results is not so good on normal paper. plz tell me vat is the problem. i want to print photo in best resolution on ordinary paper.i.e (Double A paper)

Printing photos on ordinary paper do not come out well because the ink soaks into the paper like a blotter. I suggest you use semi-gloss or high gloss photo paper for best photo quality prints..

THE PRINTER WILL PRINT ON NORMAL PAPER BUT NOT ON kODAK PREMIUM P

Ok,, thanks again for the additional info. I had the same problem at one point with my HP photo printer, it seems the electronic eye that watches for the edge of the paper somehow can't see/focus on some of the high gloss papers.

How I tested it was simple. I roughed up(wrecking) one sheet and ran it through, it saw the page and printed. after that I tested with semi-gloss and it seems to work better.

Give that a try and let me know if that works.
