Sorry we are not an installer and have no way to provide any pricing information. Also this varies by where you live greatly as labor rates vary from state to state.

Check the disconnect switch and make sure that both the fuses are good and not shot. If one is shot then the system wont work. There are two fuse. Also be careful due to you will be working around 210 volts

SOURCE: I have an Amcor 18000

CLICK HERE for the manufacturer site and your owners manual.

E4 is an "Abnormality of Outdoor Unit."

This could be anything from a blown diode to low refrigerant.

Any HVAC repair company should be able to test the unit.

Thanks for using FixYa - please accept this answer to remove it from the work queue.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi Mr Slim mini split outdoor unit fan.

Check the capacitor. Rating must be within 90% of rated microfarads. If it is a dual capacitor test between C and FAN. Set your meter to read microfarads (uF).

SOURCE: Celiera 12000 btu Mini-split ac unit blows cool

It's 'possible' but not likely that you need additional freon.

What is more likely is the 'filter' (for inside coil) is dirty and possibly the coil itself - and/or - the outside coil is dirty.

I would check out the filter - if dirty - I would change it and would also inspect the inside coil. If it's also dirty I would clean it the best I could (with a brush of some sort).

I would also check the outside coil and clean it if need be.

Hope this helps.

I have a mitsubishi daiya model SRC56HAA have lost the manual don't know how to get the cooling working

Is it possible to control the Mitsubishi Daiya Split Type Indoor Unit Model Number FDUM321HKXE2 as follows. We have an energy management system that controls the power supply to the room. This is done by using a door contact via a mini PLC to close and open the system The room is powerd up, all electrics and A/C as soon as the door is opened and closed after a 10 min. delay when the person leaves the room. I am trying the regulate the A/C not to power up on entrance. I need it to operate after close down only by requiring a manual operation of the wall control unit, i.e. it must be switched on manualy at each entry. Any advice ??? Regards Bill

Mitsubishi Air Conditioner Troubleshooting and Repair

Since the introduction of mini split ductless air conditioning one of the leaders has been Mitsubishi. There are now many of these units in service. Even though these Air Conditioners are extremely reliable, there are problems with them from time to time.
When these problems arise you need to know where to go to get online manuals and troubleshooting guides.

As a professional the place that I go is to the Mitsubishi website: www.mrslim.com
Here you can find a ton of information for the homeowner as well as for the professional.
The nice part about this site is that you do not need a password to get into the professional side of this site. I there are all of the resources that the professionals use, and they are available to everyone.

If you want to shortcut right to these resources just go here:
http://www.mitsubishipro.com/en/professional/resources-and-tools

From the drops down menu you can access all of the manuals that are available for any model. Then you can have full access to troubleshooting guides. They are simple and easy to understand. Many issues can be figured out and fixed by a handy homeowner.

Take the time to cruise around and look at all of the materials includes in this site, there are many things that will give you tons of great information about the Mitsubishi line of air conditioners and heat pumps.

Ductless Split Air Conditioner Review

Ductless split air conditioning units are the very best thing for some situations. Of course they can be installed in the place of most any central air conditioning unit. They also are a very good alternative to window air conditioning units. I will explore the use of these units more closely and look at how they can be used effectively.
One of the many problems encountered by the professional is when they are asked to install central air conditioning in an older home that was never designed with air conditioning as even a possibility. The walls may be very thick stone. Often they have very little or no insulation. The floor structures may be rough cut lumber. The joists spacing may be random. Walls and ceilings are plaster and lathe. Basically everything is stacked against any type of ducted central air conditioning. Many log style homes also are not very easy to get any kind of ducted central air conditioning installed. The open ceilings and the bare log wall design does not allow for any kind of ducting. I'm sure there are other situations. These are the ones that I have come across most frequently.
If you have a home or building that falls into one of these categories you may want to investigate installing a ductless air conditioner. This type of air conditioner can be installed in almost any home or building. The small indoor unit can be attached to the wall with a few screws. Most of the units only require that a three inch hole be bored through the outside wall. In new installations the units can be placed on inside walls with some fore thought and planning. For installation in older homes or homes that are already built you will want to plan the units to be on the outside walls.
The outdoor condenser units can be placed up to one hundred feet away from the indoor units. One outdoor unit can be used for many indoor units. Up to four indoor units can be attached to the same outdoor condenser. Some very advanced electronics will control the operation of the condenser and compressor to supply the refrigerant to the indoor air handler units that are running at the time. With variable speed technology the compressor and the condenser fan will only run as fast as needed. This technology has become very efficient in the last few years. You do not have to give up any efficiency with these ductless split units.
Another advantage to these mini split air conditioners is that they can be controlled to run only in the rooms that you actually need air conditioning in. If you are not going to be in a room you can shut down the unit. The units also have timers that can be set to turn the air conditioning on or off at preset times. If you are not going to be home all day the air conditioning can be setback or turned off. The timer will turn on the air conditioning so that you return to a cool house. Central air conditioning is very hard to zone effectively. Also with large central air conditioning systems the outdoor compressor will be running at full capacity even though only a few rooms amy be calling for cooling. There are some central air conditioning systems that are do some staging and variable speed technology. These are not as efficient or as effective as the ductless split technology.
Ductless split heatpumps are another great idea to look at. For a few dollars more you can also very easily have heat from your air conditioning mini split. Then especially in the mild spring and fall weather you can have some very efficient heat with out starting up that big monster of a furnace or boiler in the basement. In southern climates the heatpump version of the ductless split system may provide enough heat year around.
Ductless split air conditioning is definitely something that can solve many problems for some homeowners. Add to that the many advantages of these units and you will find that they are worth every penny that you will invest into them. As with any project like this make sure that you screen your contractor. These units are not for do it yourself people. There are many things that need to be done correctly for these units to work properly and efficiently. A refrigeration license is also required to install these air conditioners.
By doing a little research and hiring the right person you will enjoy many years of trouble free service from your new ductless mini split system.

You need a pro here because you could break refrigerant lines and that would be an even more costly repair! Go with someone who knows mini-splits.

I have a CPLE24-1 split system. heat not working

I dont know where you are located but anything bellow 45 degrees a heat pump does not put out much heat. As it gets colder the effeciency goes down. So if you have 24,000 at 60 degrees outside at 45 it is 15,000. Now first thing have the charge checked. If a unit is one pound low it can loose 20 %. Next see if your auxilary heat is working . You have at leat 8 KW backup heat. This comes on the second stage about 2 degrees or 2 to 4 minutes behing the Hat Pump. Ask service tech for free estimate or call and get season check. They will go thru your unit and check everything and let you know what wrong and also clean the system. Cost about 49.00 to 69.00. I own a business and we sell a maintanance contract for 105.00 and check and clean the system twice a year.Keep in touch Rus

Anybody there?

It depends on the room varables, If it has an attic, tile ceiling, what type of walls, where in the building is the room and so on? The biggest problems is all ways the power. Get a free estaimate from an A/C company. Everyone and myself needs to see the room before they give you an recomndation that can truly be applyed to your situation. But to give you some ideas, I would put a 2.5 ton - 3 ton unit just for over kill. Go with a straight cool package unit. If your company tight on cash just get a mini split system with a 30,000 BTU to 36,000 BTU cooling capacity. Cost for something thats going to last 20 years, avg. is $4,500- for the package unit and as low as $3,000 for the mini split.

Split unit a/c - works but no cool air only air. I was told the compressor broke and would need to be replaced at a huge cost.

The warranty usually reflects the worst case life expectancy. In other words if your warranty is for 5 years then they expect that if the unit was to be run consistently with regular to no maintenance It will only last 5 years.

These systems are very expensive. But that is not because of there longevity but for their unique applications. Manufacturers are not selling nearly as many Mini splits as they do regular split systems. So it is really just a supply and demand situation.
