How to unlock my HP split x2 r100dx from the Verizon network

Is it LTE? If it is older 3G service, verizon is cdma which has no SIM and cannot be unlocked. If it is LTE, it may already be unlocked for international use only, you would need access to the SIM to swap it out. I know vzw will unlock LTE phones or 3G world phones but only for international use, not for US use.

Aspire one keep saying no bootable device insert boot disk and press any key and I don't have a disk slot

You hard drive is missing from the system. Or, just does not recognize it. The obvious - Remove any USB devices like drives and any media from disc player. Its trying to load, but can't find bootable hard drive, CD, or USB... Remove the hard drive and reseat (reconnect). Check BIOS by pressing an F key during boot. Look on the screen for correct Function key. Might be F2 key. Verify BIOS recognizes the drive. It must be listed! There is no going forward if it's not. Check boot order and make internal hard drive first. Save and restart.

Can you tell me step by step directions on how to reseat my hard drive on a dell inspiron 1545?

Turn off power, remove battery.
Flip it over and look to the bottom right. Remove the 4 screws with a small Phillips screw driver.
Pull out hard drive slot. Remove the screws attaching the slot, fix new hard drive in old hard drive's place.
Put screws back in, plug back in battery.
It really doesn't get any easier than this, kudos to Dell for making it easily serviceable.
if you are still unsure watch the youtube

I need to upgrade my internal hard drive, what exactly do I need to get the most storage for my Toshiba Notebook Satellite A135-S4666? I would like to have 500gb or more of storage.

There are two kinds of hard drives and you must learn which one your computer has. To do this, Turn the computer off, diconnect the power chord and remove the battery. Locate and remove your present hard drive.

If the connection end of the drive has two plastic covered connection locations, you have a SATA drive.

If the connection end has more than 40 pins, you have an IDE drive. There is no way you can confuse the two types.

Go to your favourite computer parts source (ebay, web store or real store) and buy the largest drive that they have and that you can afford. Install the drive and install your favourite Operating System.

The largest IDE drive is 320 GB and the largest SATA drives I've seen are 500 GB. Best of good computing with your new drive.

RAM Upgrade

How much memory your Windows OS will recognize depends on which version of Windows you are running. 32-bit versions of Windows will see (and utilize) only 3GB or 3.5GB. To utilize more memory, install a 64-bit version of your OS. More information about OS memory maximums can be found at http://www.crucial.com/kb/answer.aspx?qid=4251

Not only is there a maximum amount of memory that your computer motherboard can accept, there is also a maximum amount of memory that your operating system (OS) can accept. For instance, when you install 4GB of memory in a 32-bit Windows system (the most common version; 64-bit systems are typically used by high-end users), your system reports only 3GB or 3.5GB.
First , we can assure you, there isn't a problem with the memory. While Windows allows for 4GB of memory to be addressed, it does not equate to 4GB of physical memory. Some of the memory (regardless of how much you have installed) is reserved for use by the devices that you are using, such as a graphics card, PCI card, integrated network connections, etc, meaning it is unavailable for use as normal main memory. Upon startup, your system calculates the amount of memory needed for these devices; if you haven't maxxed out the memory in your system, it's invisible to you, and all your physical memory (the installed RAM) is available for use. However if you've maxxed out the DRAM in your system, this amount will be deducted from your physical memory, so you can't use 100% of your DRAM. The maximum memory limitation varies by operating system, For instance, the 4GB memory limitation doesn't exist in 64-bit versions of Windows.

Hard drive goes out in the middle of copying

Most of the time the problem can be solved by using a cable that is really short and of good quality.

or try another usb slot and see whether the problem repeats.

Now if the external drive is FAT (most of them come from factory as FAT formatted) and u are trying to copy files grater than 4GB, it will fail as FAT cannot recognize files larger than 4GB. SO you may try to format the external drives into NTFS, if thats the case.

Backup hard drive to an external hard drive

"what the error actually says is, you have either run out of space, or the backup file (.bkf) is too large for this disk. note: if the disk is formatted with FAT32, the maximum possible size for the backup file is limited to 4 gigs."

That error means that the FAT32 file system only allows 4GB files or smaller to be transfered. The chance that the backup file (.bkf) is larger than 4GB suggests that this file is causing your problems. You could try manually copying around that file (selecting all files from that folder except the large one) and see if that works.

Usually you will get many errors copying a drive directly as system files will be inaccessible and whatnot. Your best bet is to limit your copying to "C:\Program Files\" and "C:\Documents and Settings\", assuming you have Windows.
