Hi, I have a few things you could try. This problem of the soap getting stuck in the dispenser has been going on for years. The best one that everyone says works great is to fill dispenser up only half way and then pour some on door then close, this works great. The next is using liquid soap, I dont like liquid to much. The last is clean out dispenser, dry, then spray with pam and wipe out really good. You may have to do this once in a while but soap doesnt stick. Good luck, try them all and use the one that best suits your needs. I like the first one the best, easy and works great.

Powdered soap residue (cascade) sticks in the dispenser after dishwasher has completed wash cycle. I have tried the new gel pacs and they also seem to stick to the dispenser even after the the dispenser...

The best solution is to use the compressed powder cubes, the will fall to the bottom of the dishwasher as soon as the soap cup opens. New dishwashers use so little water that they dont do a good job of getting all the phosphate free detergent out of the cup. The cubes work fine and you will have no more residue

The dish washing powder does not wash out completely unless the machine is set to heavy duty only. we will often open the machine at the end of a wash cycle and see the soap powder all wet and soft but not...

Seems to be problem with spray arm pressure. Check the spray
arm jet nozzles.
Check the incoming water flow to the machine. clean the strainer fitted at the washing machine end connection.
Being in the extended warranty, take the help from
the service provider.

My GE Adora dishwasher is not cleaning well and the detergent isn't completely disolving. What could be the problem?

Mine has been doing the same thing for about 2 months now.. I tried Finnish brand diswasher cleaner, but to no avail. Try this:

1) Empty your dishwasher, then take out the lower rack.

2) Start a regular cycle. Wait until you hear the jets turning, then open the door. Make sure there is enough water in the bottom - It should be just UNDER the heating element.

3) If your dishwasher is getting enough water, Reset your washer and allow it to drain.

4) Go to the store and get a gallon jug of white vinegar. Start your dishwasher on a regular cycle.

5) Once you hear the jets turning, Open the door and add FOUR CUPS (liquid measure) of white vinegar to the water in the bottom. Let the wash cycle complete.

6) When the wash cycle drains, the rinse cycle will fill. Once the rinse cycle starts, add ANOTHER FOUR CUPS of white vinegar to the first rinse cycle.

7) Allow the first rinse cycle to drain. Let the second rinse cycle complete normally.

I know this sounds too good to be true, but it REALLY DID work for me, this evening as a matter of fact! I also bought some hard water/soap film detergent additive from the store. It was kind of expensive, but I'm using it for a while just in case.

I hope this helps. Like I said, I couldnt believe it when my dishes came out clear again! Also, I turned OFF the heated dry cycle, and just opened the door and pulled out the racks when it was done.

Good Luck!

The soap packet doesn't dissolve, it remains intact at the bottom of the machine at the end of the cycle.

don,t use those packets stay with powder or liquid dishwasher soap. the packets need a lot of heat to dissolve,.

Doesn't clean very well anymore.

Try these things first and I bet both of you will be find your problems are solved.
1.) Buy only a brand name powder (e.g. Electrosol or Cascade) powder. Discard all ultra-cheap dishwasher soap powder and never use gel or tablets.
2.) If step one does not fix the problem completely, have the heating element checked and replaced.
The heating element is vital to activate the DW soap.
_If_ the problem remains, it is very probable that your wash pump motor is failing and needs to be replaced.
Thanks for getting back to me with what you find. OK?
Good Luck!

Simpson brand dishwasher won't disperse detergent tablet

The soap dispenser drawer is supposed to open during the cycle. Try first to understand if the drawer is opening or not during cycle.

If the drawer is not opening, then check if the opening mechanism is stuck, if it is blocked by dirt and soap, if it is broken, or if something, for examble a basket too close to dispenser drawer is preventing the drawer from opening.

Some dishwasher works only with powder, in that case indications are given on the owners manual.

If the drawer opens and the table, or powder is still staying stuck in the drawer, then that means that the spray does not have enough power to solve the tablet.
In that case check spray arms and impeller pump. Also check water temperature.

If the problem is also happening with powder, then it is probably a drawer not opening on cycle.

Soap hardens in the dispenser and dishes don't come clean

Either your dishwasher is not getting the water hot enough to dissolve the powder, or you need to switch brands. Try a liquid/gel type of dishwasher detergent.
Try stopping the washer a few minutes after you start a wash cycle. Open the door -- if there is a lot of steam coming out at you, it's not the water temperature. If there is no steam, your dishwasher is not getting hot water and/or the heating coil is not working.
