Do you mean, your control panel dosen't take any command, or it takes bad commands? If your product it is still on warranty, the best way is to call on HP Support. If not, try to update the firmware with the newest from HP webpage. I had this problem on PRO 500, also on PRO 300. Even if I changed the control panel, the problem reappeared. Maybe just updating the firmware won't solve the problem, then you'll need to change the panel.

Take the batteries out of the remote control, then apply a piece of black tape over the IR sensor, Unplug the power, wait a few minutes, now power the unit back up, does the unit still have the same volume high symptom? If so, remove the tape and see if the unit responds to any other commands(other than volume) from the front panel. If it responds to the panel controls, the processor is most likely good. very seldom is the IR transistor bad, if it is no input command will work.

Just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 10 minutes or so. This must make it a hard reset. Even though it do not help you, and the TV do not respond to any external commands, including remote control commands, its main system control IC is faulty, and should be replaced.

sounds like a thermister or control board. Locate diagnostic sheet behind lower front panel and run diagnostics

wiggle the door latch sometimes they get a little corrosion in the door switch and dont respond to the door being closed

read the instruction manual of your tv set.how to use the remote and its controls,maybe it is just a porgramming problem.just take your time

go into the control panel into the printers icon. Make sure your a920 printer is set as the default printer.
