Usually to pair a new device like that, there would be some trick to set it up. Im not familiar with your exact model, however ive had success with holding some buttons in.
Usually you would hold down the power button, or perhaps the volume up and down together, hold them down for a few secs and the light will go blue/red/blue/red to show its in pairing mode.

With the microphone closed, push in the call button. It should turn purple within a second or two. When it does release it and as quick as possible flip open the microphone. The light should stay purple and it is now in "pairing mode"

Hold the volume buttons on the side while holding the call button for 10 seconds. It will reset the bluetooth and remove any other devices it may have been paired to. Then turn it off, back on and it will eventually stay lit blue and then you need to set it up through your phone. I hope this helps, I had the same problem and mine is working fine!
