The answering system automatically announces the number of messages (new or old) if there are any. If there are new messages, the answering system automatically begins to play new messages only. -OR If there are no new messages, the answering system automatically begins to play all old messages. You can also enter the remote commands: Play all messages

If there are no messages in the answering system, the system announces, "You have no message." If there are no new messages in the answering system, when you press 2 to play back new messages, the system announces, "You have no new message." If you pause for more than four seconds during remote access, you hear a help menu listing all features and commands. If there is no command for another 20 seconds, the call ends automatically. Enter button not working

If this is a traditional keyboard (not laptop) or extremely fancy keyboard.

Try unplugging the keyboard. Then.
  1. Take a butter knife and slide it into the crevice next to the "enter key".
  2. Apply a small amount of pressure to pry the key upward.
  3. With little effort the key should pop off or slide off.
  4. Check the spot the key was for dirt, dust, food, etc. Clean it if you must. Make sure the actual key does not have anything stuck to the bottom of it.
  5. Push the key back onto it's place on the keyboard.
  6. Plug back in and see if that worked.
If this did not work, you may need to replace the keyboard OR you may want to make sure no viruses are playing an aweful trick on you.

Enter buttion not working

Hello, that seems to be a bad contact on the enter button, the solution is to take a part the key and clean it, otherwise you need to replace the under key switch.
Thanks

HOW TO FINALIZE THE DVD CASSETE AND CONNECT TO T.V SET?

Finalising a disc enables the disc to be played on any other compatible machine. By doing this it changes the disc format so that you can no longer record to it turning it into a Play Only disc. On your Panasonic DVD Recorder you can record to many (if not all depending on the model) of the following DVD Disc formats to the limit of their capacity over multiple occasions. The disc in question can be played back and recorded to on the DVD Recorder during this time but until it is finalised it will not work on any other machine.
DVD Formats: DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-RAM, DVD+R, DVD+RW.
How do I Finalise my disc?
  1. When you have finished the initial recording stop the disc and press the ~FUNCTIONS~button.
  2. Using the ~UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT arrows~ on the keypad select "To Others" and press~ENTER~.
  3. Using the ~UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT arrows~ on the keypad Scroll down to "DISC MANAGEMENT" and press ~ENTER~.
  4. When the disc management screen opens you need to use the ~UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT arrows~ on the keypad to scroll down to "FINALIZE" and press ~ENTER~.
  5. Using the ~UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT arrows~ on the keypad select "YES" and press~ENTER~.
  6. Using the ~UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT arrows~ on the keypad select "START" to begin finalizing the disc, please note by pressing start here you will no longer be able to record or edit the disc being finalized.
Finalizing may take up to 15 minutes.
Do not disconnect the mains power in this time. A message appears when finalizing is finished, press the enter button when this appears. It will now play on other compatible machines.
