"Exposure lamp timing wrong" simply means that the lamp is coming on at a time when it should not be coming on. It is not a problem with the lamp itself. It is most likely a power supply problem. There is probably no simple fix.
Just because Konica Minolta no longer will sell you an agreement does not mean that you cannot get the copier serviced. There are plenty of independent repair agencies that would love to service your copier, unless you are in a really remote location.
The EP2030 was one of the last Minolta analog copiers, and parts are still readily available.

The exposure lamp is located in the scanning area beneath the glass. If you choose to do it yourself you can purchase a lamp here
You can get the manual here
Be sure to follow the steps closely it is easy to do more damage than good in that area if you try to wing it. Good Luck

SOURCE: hi i have a canon np2020
There are a few possible problems? One is that the scanning lamp is blown or the thermal fuse for the lamp is blown. The question is will the scanning lamp turn "ON" and move and then codes out. If that is the case and most likely the power cable for the scanner lamp is cracked and it is shorting out to the frame of the copier. If you have a meter to measure resistance. You need to turn the copier off & unplug it & take the copy board glass off & put the meter on the ends of the lamp, to read it's resistance. If you have No resistance then the lamp is blown. You will need to replace it. Keep in mind you are working on a copier at least 15 - 20 years old, odds are the power cable is cracked. Good Luck.. If that is so, it is not a easy part to replace or find
