SOURCE: Koolatron Mini Fridge Overheating

Check the condensor fan behind the fridge which is designed to cool the compressor/gas line by blowing air over the condensor. When this fan motor seizes or stops running, the gas gets very hot and because it is skin cooled too, the outside of the fridge also gets very hot. You can overcome the problem temporarily by putting a standing fan behind the fridge, blowing onto the compressor and under the fridge untill you can have the problem rectified.

SOURCE: Noisy Wine Fridge

The problem is likely with one of the two fans. A new fan is available from Danby (1-800-263-2629). My noisy fan is the condensor fan located at the bottom rear of the device. After removing the cooler from under the cabinet, the source of the noise was obvious. You will need to tell them whether it is the upper fan or lower fan. Leave the cooler upright for a few hours before you plug it in so that you do not damage the condenser. Price for the fan from Danby is $20.15 including shipping. SOURCE: I purchase a koolatron CVF18 Vending Fridge I plug it in and neither the fan nor compressor came on but the power light on the power cord came on

Sounds like the timmer has not passed the defrost cycle, if you look near the compressor unit, you will see a box with wires going into it from compressor and up into the unit, you should see a small dial about 10-15mm diam, turn this dial clockwise, may need a screw driver, should work once turned, If you cant locate it near the compressor, have a look within the unit or ontop for the timer unit with the dial and tun it clockwise, if the unit operates, spray with a good quality lub spray and turn it fully for 5 revs. Should work fine once done....Russ

Compressor in our wine fridge is getting pretty noisy, what do I need to do?

If you mean the motor for the fan because a condenser is just a type of radiator. So the condenser fan motor must be the noise if you are sure the refrigerant pump is not the noise..

My Koolatron Wine Cooler, model WC08 will not turn on. Any ideas what I should check first? I checked the outlet. It is fine.

There has to be an internal breaker that went off or fuse. You may have to remove it from the casing to get to it.

Wine fridge is not getting cold anymore

Its really hard to determine without proper diagnosis, but are you sure it indeed has a compressor? does it run ? Does it have a circulating fan inside? A lot of the wine coolers I've dealt with were "Peltier" coolers. They use electronics to cool usually only to about 10deg below room temp. They require a load ( in this case wine bottles ) to operate properly. They don't have a cold control like a refrigerator.

Plugged it into 240V now it wont run

there is a little relay on the compressor more then likely that is toast. I would start by pulling it off and replacing that. Get back with me and we could go from there. The relay protects the compressor from overloading. Now do you have a fan beside the compressor?

Only the fan at the compressor turns on and off with the compressor cycle. The evaporator fan runs steady to maintain air circulation and temperature balance and to affect evaporator defrost in the off cycle. Sometimes the condenser fan will run continuously to assist in the evaporation of condensed moisture from the evaporator drainage.
