I have a piano made by Laffargue piano co ewyork. The serial number is 70805. The piano has Seaverns written on it. Can you tell me the age of my piano please?

(1905)!! Please Read On How To Tell How Old Your Piano Is !! I Learned This From Grandma !!
Piano serial numbers usually have five to seven digits, but may have fewer or more, depending on the manufacturer and age of your piano. Serial numbers may also include a letter as well.
Here are the TOP FIVE places to locate the serial number of your spinet, console, or upright piano:
Serial number locations are found:
1) On the piano's cast iron plate. After lifting up the lid, look along the top front area of the plate. The serial number may be to the right or the left, or in the middle.

2) Under the opened lid on the ledge, stamped on a little plaque, to the right or to the left.

3) Stamped on the back of the piano; near the top of the wood frame.

4) Printed on one of the hammers, found on either end of the piano (newer or imported pianos).

5) Printed on one the keys - behind the nameboard, inside the piano (newer or imported pianos)

Epiphone Les Paul Style looks like the 100 model but the plate on the top of the stock says Gibson instead of Les Paul Korean serial # 099050524 What can you tell me about it's age and value please

That serial number does not match any Epiphone databases. However poor records were kept at some Epi factories in Korea.

The number does match a Gibson however , made at the
Nashville Plant, TN, USA on September 17th, 2005.

The serial number does not give the model. They were not assigned that way.

If actually a Gibson, it would sell at anywhere US$1500 to 2500, depending on condition, sub-model, and finish. Try matching it to any 2005 GLP sold here in the past.

Yamaha upright piano U1, serial number G1267822. Can you please tell me the age of the instrument, roughly? Thanks

With the given serial number I was able to determine that this piano was likely made between 1960-61.

Try this website for future reference:

The serial number you gave falls between 124000 (1960) and 149000 (1961) which led me to my answer.

Hope this helps!

How much is a 1969 fender palomino acoustic guitar worth it is in really good shape

I have seen one on the internet. Person is ASKING $1000.00

I don't see any takers. Have you brought it to a local guitar shop?
Did you try calling a shop in New York, Los Angeles or Texas?

Unfortunately, Fender acoustics are not as popular as Vintage Martins, Early Gibsons and some arch top jazz models.

You could try your luck with Ebay or Craigslist???
Try contacting Alto Music at (845) 692-6922 They are very knowledgable.

A Saxaphone question to you, as a friend gave me one this week (in pretty hard shape, with half the levers sticking, and what looks like a black polish residue inside the red case) and, never having played...

Here in Renton, the technical college has an instrument repair course and they do repairs there very reasonable. You might look in your area for a similar situation.

Repair should not be that hard. They can clean and lube valves and corrosion gets buffed off..
