Visit a local store that has one in stock and review the directions printed on the interior cover.

My Intermatic T101 has power going to it and the clock works normally. But when the clock trips the switching lever to ON or I manually turn it to on, it does not put out power. Is there any sort of fuse...

There is no fuse inside the T101.
If timer clock motor is working correctly, then 120Volt circuit is fine up to the timer.
Unknown if this is new installation , or old installation that stopped working.
Wiring might be bad, such that line and load wires are reversed.
Or light bulb might be bad.

Intermatic T101 timer

T101 timer is strictly 120Volt timer
Wiring and manual show on following link
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html#T101

See another image of wiring:

Amazon sells T101:

If timer is not functioning, add a comment.

Grainger sells 125V clock motor and tripper for T100 series timers.

If manual override does not turn Load ON, and the lever snaps crisp and clean, then check electric circuit. Check if load is operable.
If override does not snap crisp and clean, then timer may be worn out.
If dial does not rotate, replace clock motor.
If dial rotates but does not click override back and forth, then replace trippers.

How T101 works:
Lift and rotate dial until current time lines up with silver pointer
Clock motor rotates dial.
ON-OFF trippers attached outer edge of dial contact a lever.
ON tripper pushes lever one direction.
Off tripper pushes lever opposite direction.
Lever opens and closes electrical contacts.
Lever also pushes manual override lever back and forth with audible click.

Yes, the T101M 120Volt pool timer requires both ON and OFF trippers:

Don't know what is it used for,and how it operates?I don't have any instructions for it.

You posted under T101 timer.
Most box timers have model number and instructions pasted on inside of door.
Instructions can seems a foreign language sometimes.

If your timer is different than T101, then add a comment with timer number.
I have extensive files on timers.

Box timers are generally used for heavy amperage loads like outdoor lights, swimming pool pumps, water heaters, parking lot lights and lighted outdoor signs.
They are surface mounted near breaker box, or in attic or basement, or garage.
Box timers are used in schools to ring bells, and inside factories to run processes and fans.
Some are complicated electronic devices used to control machines with one second precision.
Mechanical box timers are noisy when turning on-off, so are generally not installed in living area of house.

T101 timer is least complicated of any timer.
It is used for ordinary household 120V circuit.
Timer has 120Volt clock motor, and controls 120Volt circuit.
For example 120Volt water heater, or 120V grow lights, or aquarium, or any application up to 2 horsepower, for example timer can be located inside garage to control outdoor lights.
T101R is raintight outdoor box, with rubber gasket on door that seals tight when closed.
Raintight boxes are installed outdoors to operate 120Volt spas and pool pumps.
When box timer is rated for indoor, there is no rubber gasket on door, and that box is called NEMA 1 enclosure.
My local Lowes sells T101 T103 T104 > and each is for slightly different purpose and each wires differently.
Link below shows wiring and manuals for T100 series timers.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html#T101

Here's how T100 series timer works:
Lift and rotate yellow dial until current time lines up with silver pointer.
Clock motor rotates dial as time passes.
Clock motors are accurate for years, but current time has to be reset after power outage.
ON-OFF trippers are placed on outer edge of dial.
Trippers push a lever, and lever turns circuit on-and-off.
ON tripper pushes lever one direction.
OFF tripper pushes lever opposite direction.
Each time lever is pushed, manual-override lever clicks back and forth with audible sound.

How do I reset the time needle on my intermatic modle t101 The screw was loose and the needle move so

T101 Intermatic is 120Volt electro-mechanical timer

Silver pointer is located at 6:00 position.
Tighten the center screw with star screwdriver
Lift and rotate yellow dial until current time lines up with silver pointer.

geno_3245_71.jpg

How electro-mechanical timers work:
Place ON-OFF trippers on dial.
Trippers rotate around with passing time.
Trippers encounter on-off lever.
OFF tripper clicks lever one direction.
ON tripper clicks lever other direction.
Manual override lever clicks back and forth each time on-off lever is clicked.

Just installed a T101. Unit will not switch to on position works perfectly to off position. Can it be adjusted.

Yes.

Programming Instructions for the Intermatic T101 - 24 Hr. Dial Time Switch:
1. TO SET ON AND OFF TIMES: Hold trippers agains edge of clock-dial, pointing to time (AM or PM) when ON and OFF operations are desired, tighten tripper screws firmly. For additional tripper pairs on CLOCK-DIAL order 156T1978A.

2. TO SET TIME-OF-DAY: Pull CLOCK-DIAL outward. Turn in either direction and align the exact time-of-day on the CLOCK-DIAL (the time now, when switch is being put into operation) to the pointer. DO NOT MOVE POINTER.

Operating Instructions:
* To operate switch manually: move manual lever below clock-dial left or right as indicate by arrows (graphics) This will not efect next operation.
* In case of power failure, reset clock-dial to proper time-of-day. See Programing Instructions (top lines).

Good luck (reemmber rated this help).
