Hello, I just recently purchased my North Pole Christmas Magic Battery Operated Train set from eBay. Everything works fine but the wheels won't turn. What can I do to make them work?

I had the same dilema and trains are not new to me. Look under the piece of straight track that has a notch in it for the wiring. There will be a clip to hold the wire and a piece of plactic that looks like a block. One either side of that is a metal tab that one end of the wiring slides over. Actually each piece of the Fastrack has one of these. Only one has a notch but you can notch any one.

SOURCE: Hello I have a Christmas

Hi pepbozo... take a piece of the track into your local hobby store. They will determine what size or gauge that track is and they will then be able to sell you the pieces of straight track that you desire. Joe

Thanks for choosing Fixya!

SOURCE: i have a north pole express train set that i got for my kids last year this year i cannot find the remote can i still run the train set without the remote?

Yes it should. I have the Scientific Toys Union Pacific train set that comes with a remote control. However, you can turn it on by attaching the coal car to the first main car with the smoke stack. Turn the bell slightly one direction and push down on the top of the 3rd stack after the smoke stack. In affect, the bell and third stack act as controls. The combination of both movements will make it run. Turning the bell while it's operating will turn it off. Of course, you'll want to have fresh batteries properly installed first.

I need an instruction manual for my 1992 toy state Christmas Magic train. I pulled it out of the attic after 10 years of storage. Everything works but I can get it to move. Please advise.

Not sure what you mean by "everything works buy I can't make it move".Well, it can be several things. If you are sure the batteries are good, contacts clean and there is a little movement of the wheels when turned on, then it needs cleaning of the gears and some lubrication. Alcohol will clean it, use a little brush. There is a light grease sold in hobby shops for train's plastic gears. Or you can use a drop of any light oil, like for sewing machines.
Sometimes motor can be stuck, needs to be turned and soaked/cleaned with alcohol.
If it seams that motor is not getting power/voltage, you would need to get voltmeter and trace the voltage from the batteries through the wires and switch, to the motor.
Seams that you would need to open it/put it apart. If you do it carefully, you don't really need a manual.

If you can't fix it, and you think engine is bad, search eBay for it, there are some engines and cars, individually, for sale. Items found similar to Toy State Christmas Magic Express Train Music...

Lionel battery operated g scale locomotive will not move

Replace all batteries in locomotive & remote.
You do need to be fairly close to the set with the
remote for it to work.
