How to fix dead keys on Yamaha PF85 Digital Piano?

I have had some success by coating the contact strip contact points with conductive glue. How long it will last I'm not sure. The strips themselves appeared undamaged. My on button works easily now but I still need to turn it off the wall. All the best. Lam.

Can I connect only one speaker to a yamaha emx 312 sc power mixer?

First it is certain that you would not want to plug both outputs of the stereo power amp into one speaker combining both channels into the same speaker. (see image from manual below - also link to manual)

Next I would be very concerned about only using the one side of the main amp out as it could cause an unbalanced load, or you could be driving the load into dead air connection and any of these conditions are destined to cause premature failure of the power amp.

Taking a quick scan of the manual for this unit, it appears what is pretty common to most powered mixers, hook up two matched speakers/loads to each chanel of the output.

Your best bet is to shed those monster cabs, there really is no need for them especially with this sized powered mixer, and get yourself a nice pair of full range cabs like EV1202;s, EV SX300's, or some nice 2 or 3 way 15" JBL's/

    Just my opinon.

Dgx 230 dc in connector bad

This type of keyboard is well know for the power socket breaking away from the main PCB. You will need to unscrew lots of screws to reveal the circuit board with the power socket on. If you look closely at the solder side you will probably see that the track that the socket is soldered to has broken. Simply link the solder joint to the circuit further along the track by bridging between socket and next point along the track. You may need to replace the socket if it has become damaged. If you can use a soldering iron it is fairly easy but if in doubt contact a repairer.

If you need a socket Google :

    Drum kit won't power up

Get a voltmeter and check the power to see if it is working at the plug. the voltage should be 12vdc. If you don't have a meter, just take the power adaptor to radio shack, or any electronics supply house.
They'll check it for you. below is a copy of the manual. Good Luck!

Need yamaha psr170 keybord manual and a/c adapter! can anyone help? was given to me, don't know if it works.

    Click on the following link:

    http://www.yamaha.com/yamahavgn/CDA/ContentDetail/ModelSeriesDetail.html?CNTID=2258&CTID=205000

If you then click on the "Resources" tab, you'll be able to download the manual. The A/C adapter you're looking for is the "Yamaha PA3B Power Adapter", which has now been discontinued. You can use an universal power adapter instead using these specifications:

    Input: AC 120V, 60HZ
    Output: DC 12V, 700mA
    Polarity: Center Positive (+)

Hope this helps. If so, please rate. Thanks.

I have a YAMAHA GA 24/12 mixer and 10 aux (all) no

Check that you have the gains INTO the aux channel from each strip you want routed there turned up... AND... the gains OUT of the aux turned up. Two places to adjust the gains.

The AUX LIKELY use TRS balanced outputs... check that you are using those.

These are a starting point, I do not have a manual for this device.

Yamaha Keyboard SY77 has no power. I've tested with a multimeter the power button and all the fuses that share that same circuit board. All seems well. Any troubleshooting ideas from this point forward?...

Try finding the bridge rectifier which is the device that converts the incoming alternating current into direct current which powers the circuits. Test it using the diode test function with a multimeter if you have one and see what results you get. There may only be a voltage rectifier or just a series of back to back diodes but that is what you want to test. I don't at this point have a schematic or service manual for that keyboard. Hope this helps.
