SOURCE: Abs brakes feel likes they are pulsing

Sounds like warped rotors. Where did you buy them? The "cheap-o" replacements are made in China and if not stored properly, will be warped when you buy them ! ! ! I'd take them back and have the Auto Store check them and/or give you a replacement. If they hand over another pair, ask them to check them BEFORE you take them home... I've had this same problem at O'Reilly's in the past but other stores handle the same Chinese replacments...

SOURCE: Ford Five Hundred head lights and dash lights are flashing.

I would check battery voltage with a meter when the lights are flashing to check alternator output. Might be a ground problem.

Low Blood Pressure When Blood Pressure Is Too Low

When I take my blood pressure, the lower reading is regularly in the 50's. If it was higher would I have more energy?

Possibly. Low blood pressure is good in that you will live longer, but can make you a bit fatigued. The ideal is 140/80

Ideally, you should have a blood test to check your levels of iron, and a general check up. I am only an amateur doctor :>)

Symptoms By Mayo Clinic Staff For some people, low blood pressure can signal an underlying problem, especially when it drops suddenly or is accompanied by signs and symptoms such as:
  • Dizziness or lightheadedness
  • Fainting (syncope)
  • Lack of concentration
  • Blurred vision
  • Nausea
  • Cold, clammy, pale skin
  • Rapid, shallow breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Depression
  • Thirst

When to see a doctor

In many instances, low blood pressure isn't serious. If you have consistently low readings but feel fine, your doctor is likely to monitor you during routine exams.
Even occasional dizziness or lightheadedness may be a relatively minor problem - the result of mild dehydration from too much time in the sun or a hot tub, for example. In these situations, it's not a matter so much of how far, but of how quickly, your blood pressure drops.
Still, it's important to see your doctor if you experience any signs or symptoms of hypotension because they sometimes can point to more-serious problems. It can be helpful to keep a record of your symptoms, when they occur and what you were doing at the time.

Is there a way to fix the the turn signal chime and other various chimes on a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS, there is no sound from them as well as front speakers?

The audible warnings alert the driver of a system concern or a critical vehicle condition. The radio generates the audible warnings through the speaker. The radio receives audible warning requests via the serial data circuit. If the radio receives multiple audible warning requests, the warning with the highest priority sounds first. The following lists the audible warning priority and the pulse rate:
?€¢
Fast rate chime (200 pulses per minute)

?€¢
Medium rate chime (150 pulses per minute)

?€¢
Slow rate chime (50 pulses per minute)

How to calibrate the Heathkit Thumb Tach GD-69

Point the tach at any florescent or incandescent light. The analog meter should be right on "36" (for 3600rpm). These house lights flash with the alternating current which is 60 per SECOND. Tachometers are reading how many pulses in 1 MINUTE (Revs Per Minute) which would then be 60 light flashes x 60 seconds = 3600! Perfect calibration!

What is the correct pulse rate for a 57 year old male

Vital signs are specific to every person but as a general rule,
Typically a normal resting pulse rate is anywhere between 60 and 100 beats per minute. Middle age good physical condition 80 beats per minute plus or minus 10 beats per minute is about right. If you're out of shape closer to 100 per minute very athletic closer to 60. A bigger concern is blood pressure as this will also influence pulse rate. There are too many factors to consider to simply post online. Such as overall health, cardiac function, as well as medications and life style. For example, caffeine and stress will increase your rate.
hope this helps.

My husband took his blood pressure and an E appeared for Sys reading. We could not get it to operate correctly. Why?

E appeared because the monitor was not able to read his blood pressure. I have the same problem myself if I take my blood pressure after sitting down for a while because my pulse rate is 40 beats per minute and the monitor is set to expect a higher reading. If his pulse rate is too low the monitor thinks it's not reading it properly.

It could also be unable to read his blood pressure because the sensor was not pressed against his pulse. Try moving it around a little. Also it's a good idea to check the monitor on a second person as there could be a fault in the monitor itself.

I hope this helps.

How should you feel for a victims pulse

  1. 1 Use your right index and middle finger to check the pulse on the left arm of the subject.
  2. Step 2 Press the radial artery that you are trying to feel firmly with your index finger. The idea is to partially occlude the artery which will increase the volume of the pulse just proximal to your index finger which is underlying the tip of your middle finger.
  3. Step 3 Feel the pulsation with your middle finger by gently touching the skin while maintaining a firm pressure with your index finger.
  4. Step 4 As soon as you feel the pulsations, look at the clock and start counting number of pulsations. Count for at least 15 seconds and multiply the number by 4. To be more accurate, count for the whole minute.
  5. Step 5 Normal pulse is around 72 beats per minute at rest, however anything from 60 beats per minute to 100 beats per minute at rest is also considered normal.
  6. Step 6 Besides the number you should also check the rhythm or regularity of the pulse. Irregular pulse is almost always abnormal and can be due to number of heart conditions, such as Atrial fibrillation or heart block. Pulse may be increased in fever. Athletes may have a pulse as low as the 40s, however, that is considered normal.
  7. Step 7 Sometimes, despite all the correct techniques, you may still not be able to feel the radial pulse. In case someone has collapsed, the most appropriate area to look for the pulse is the carotid artery, just behind Adam's apple in the neck. Other arteries that may also be used are the bracheal artery (in front of the elbow) and the dorsalis pedis (proximal to the first web of the foot).

Changing distributor on a xr4ti

I realize this is an older post, but maybe it will help. You need a timing light for starters. With the dizzy cap off, point the rotor where the #1cylider post would be on the cap. That will get you close enough to start the engine. Go ahead and start the engine and let it warm for a minute, then disconnect the SPOUT plug and with the timing light, turn the dizzy until the timing gun reads 13 btdc on a manual, 10 btdc on an auto. Plug the SPOUT back in and verify that your timing advanced. Tighten down the dizzy hold-on bolt and then verify your timing didn't change after you tightened the dizzy down.

Now you're good to go!
