Will read ps2 games and dvds but wont read ps3 games

laser is geting week, replace system or send in for repair

the only version of the ps3 that can play ps2 games and dvds is the one shipped from manufacter with 80gb hard drive

How much free memory does your Ps3 have? Are the games used or scratched?

You need a certain amount of memory to play ps3 games. Scratched up games can't be read.

Did you put the disc on the right side? Lay the ps3 down and the ps3 game disc picture should be facing up.

40 gig that i understand cant ply ps2 games only 60-80 can.

i have the same problem my ps3 wont read any thing but mine is the 80gb ps3 from hong kong so sony wont do any thing about it
