I have a 18mth old Panasonic dimensions 4 invertor microwave oven that turns on for 3 or 4 seconds and stops altogether, any ideas?

What does the clock say after it stops? Is the time still correct, or is it wrong? Or maybe you mean only the turntable stops spinning, in which case the problem may just be that it needs a new belt! Try RepairClinic.com if that is the case!

Sounds like it is trying to locate the satalite to recognize the time zone. Have you tried moving the clock to another location in your building?

Minute hand on atomic clock keeps moving

Take the battery out and put it back in the opposite direction. Wait 5 seconds. Put it back in the correct position. The minute hand will go around very fast and eventually come to a stop. This can take a couple days. That means it is waiting for a radio signal from Colorado. For a better signal, place the clock in a window that is facing Colorado. The minute hand will begin to spin very fast until it stops at the correct time. Again, this could take up to 2 days.

Ensure that you are in the daytime12 hour segment by allowing the hands to pass 12 o'clock and notice if the date moved on or not.
If the date changed, then you will need to advance at least 2 hours before moving on to set the date.
If you do not need to change the date, return the crown to position 1.

Setting the Date:

Pull crown to position 2.

Resetting the Hands:
If the hands do not zero correctly, which might occur after a battery change or a violent shock, you can make adjustments by doing the following settings as long as the countdown is not in operation.
To correct the hour/seconds counter sub-dial, pull the crown out to position 2 and wait 1 second.
Press either the 2 or 4 o'clock button; the central timing hand will turn and stop [not necessarily at 12].
Press the 2 o'clock button to increment the hours/seconds counter sub-dial hand to position it at 60.
To correct the central timing hand, press the 4 o'clock button to increment the hand to the 12 position.
Return the crown to position 1.

If the battery had been replaced, the central timing hand defaults to the 10 minute position. If the battery had not been replaced, the central timing hand will return to the previously set position.

Hands started spinning and won't stop. I replaced battery - still spinning

Remove the battery and replace with a new one. Just because.
Depress the tab on the back of the clock mechanism firmly (it pushes in a button beneath it) 22 times. While you're pressing the tab, the hands will begin to rotate. They will stop at 12 , 4 or 8 o'clock.

Place the clock in a window where it will be able to receive the radio signal.

Next morning the clock should have re-set to U.S. Pacific time. Press the on the clock mechanism that corresponds to your time zone and you should now have the correct time again.
