This appears to be some kind of 'musical' instrument - you may receive a more item-oriented reply from posting this query in a more appropriate forum. In the meantime, have you checked the instructions in the manual ?

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

I have a Zoom sb-246 beat kit and i had it for a while...but havent used it in months so i turn it on and when it does its stuck on the coming on screen and stops at the screen sayin sb-246 and thats...

Greetings, I too have experienced the exact same problem & for over two years, hadn't found and answer or solution until this month August 2024.
Be of good cheer, to answer your question is quite simple.
While your ZOOM SB 246 is off: press the record button.
While holding the record button down, turn on the power .
In your display, you will see the word: ALLINIT flashing.
Press your record button a second time & the word COMPLETE will be in your display .
Thus indicating that you ZOOM SB 246 has been restored to its factory settings.
My SB 246 did the same thing but I refused to get rid or pay a repairman to take a look at my drum machine.
It paid off.
Give thanks & praise.
Pass it on.

Dropped Sb-600, and now when the flash can't adjust zoom, making whining sound as the zoom is trying to move.

There's nothing you can do and DIY fixing options can be dangerous due to the very high residual voltages inside.

You've either broken the zoom motor gears or they have been displaced; either way the flash needs to be professionally repaired and preferably by an authorised Nikon service centre.

Despite the lack of a fix I hope my answer has been of some assistance. If so, please rate my answer.

Noise while zooming with sb-600

sb-600/800 make a distinct motor-spinning noise when zooming, this is normal. Any grinding/clicking noises are not normal.

Samsung 1080p LCD TV stuck on zoom

I had the same problem. It's the default setting on your HD cable box. You have to go under the cable box's "settings" and switch it from "Zoom 1" to "Normal." I found the solution on Samsung's webpage. Can't tell you how much that was driving me nuts.
