Question about Whirlpool Refrigerators
Although this is not a straight answer, it might head you in the right direction.
Type in "SearsPartsDirect " to you search engine, and you will get Sears.
Type in your complete model number and you will get pictures of all parts of your machine.
Select the one that you need, and see how that part fastens to the control board.
(When I am faced with a cover that has been glued or "plastic welded" in place, I will occasionally use a Dremel tool and cut the cover off, then reglue it back on with epoxy cement. This is when I have nothing to loose, a part is already headed for the trash pile.)
