Question about Cell Phones

Open Question

My Moto E model XT830C apparently has no Sim card? Does it have an internal sim or the carrier did not use sim card?

Took the back off and the only slot visible is for a micro sd.

SOURCE: micro sd card in sim card slot removal

I just did the same thing. I didn't want to put anything metal in to the slot. After trying with various pieces of hard packaging plastic I put double sided sticky tape on a piece of plastic and slid it down into the slot. The sd card attached itself to the sticky tape and I was able to pull it out. Good luck

SOURCE: LG OPTIMUS BIG Can i put micro sim card in SD card

Your SD slot is for a memory card and putting a sim card into it will not solve anything. Call your mobile carrier and check with them regarding the sim card. Maybe your phone doesn't take a sim card. Go to and in the search area list LG Optimus user's manual and that should answer your questions. I looked on that web site for my LG user's manual, found it and downloaded it I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION TO THOSE OF US THAT CANNOT FIND A MICRO SIM CARD FOR OUR PHONES UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY +$70.00 ON AMAZON. TAKE YOUR REGULAR SIZED SIM CARD TO A LOCAL CELL PHONE STORE AND ASK THEM IF THEY HAVE A SIM CARD CUTTER. IF THEY DO, THEY WILL PROBABLY CUT YOUR SIM TO A MICRO OR NANO SIM FOR FREE. IT WORKED FOR ME.

How do you put a sim card in

Depending on the Phones Make and Model and what type of SIM card you are NEEDING if SIM card didn't come with PH?
You can go online and look at diagrams of the Various SIM cards. Most SIM card fit Behind the Battery of your Smart PH. You must carefully remove back of ph most smart phone have a small indention to assist with removal? If not either use your nail or THIN OBJECT (Fake Nail Tips Work Great, Even your Nail, plastic/Wood Tooth Pick or any thin enough non metal to open seal ) Then carefully remove back of ph then Battery the SIM card slot will either be on the side or Top or bottom behind Battery space Slide Sim card in with Metal connector sides down in direction indicated then replace battery and back of ph. Some Phone come with a Internal SIM Card for Programing of phone, the other SIM card Slot is for Memory make sure if this is what is NOT Situation your PH? Some even have Duel SIM Slot they Usually can be programed with either type of SIM Card Purchased these are for the new I call Free-agent Phone meaning you Purchase your Phone and Choose your Carrier Such as Straight Talk ect.

My blackberry is saying sos when I put a sim card in it and dont know why

SOS means that the phone is only authorized for emergency type calls. Apparently the cellular carrier isn't accepting the SIM card you installed or it needs some sort of activation. Usually just swapping a SIM card from one phone to another is not enough to change phones within a carrier network. You usually have to contact the carrier as well and they do some magical mumbo-jumbo and then the new phone will operate.

If I put my boost mobile sim in my new unlocked phone can i keep my service with boost and my number?

Your sim card is only "programmed" to work with your current phone and carrier. For example, if you took a windows program DVD and tried to install that windows program on Apple's OSX, it would not work. That sim card is like the DVD. The program for your phone's carrier (since Boost uses other carriers like Verizon, Sprint and AT&T) will not work and may ruin your phone or sim card. Happened to me, so I know.

"Error 0" Samsung Blackjack. SIM card is missing or is not valid.

If he used it for the same carrier you are on (ie: sprint, AT&T, verizon, etc..) then it may just be a different format SIM card. Over my past 3 phones, I have had to change sim cards twice. Good thing is, usually the carrier doesn't charge for this. For example, if I took the sim out of my current LG g6, and tried to put it in my old galaxy note 3, it wouldn't work, I would have to get one of the older style SIM cards.
On the other hand, sometimes you won't be able to take a phone from one carrier to another, even if it is unlocked. It all depends on the cellular technology that the phone supports.
Hope this helps.

Sim number track

When this phone was first programed it took a sim card , someone may of had it programmed with another carrier that didn't take sim card and maybe it got dropped, wet and when it came back on it went back to the old program. I would take it to your carrier and let them reprogram it. My sister had a razr v3c and it took a sd card for music, pictures and some v3c don't have a slot ,my v3c does'nt.I wouldn't take it apart because if there is no slot under the battery or on the side of the phone there is neither a slot for a sim or sd slot. They Don't put these inside the phone .
