Question about Lands Phones
Is the phone located in a hallway with bare wall and a tiled floor? that would make an echo.
Distortion is something else, and if it is the same for all the callers, then it is your machine. It could be a damaged speaker, or the amplification circuit is faulty.
Now in the message, you mention 'my phone', you mean the whole answerphone unit. If you are listening to message via the phone itself, perhaps the phone was dropped and damaged?
