Kenwood excelion dnx9140 demonstration mode is on and I can't eject my DVD how do I turn demo mode off

SOURCE: my unit will not let me eject dvd disc it says it

shut off the unit .press and hold for 30 seconds SRC and reset . then while pushing the SRC release the reset botton,hold it until the unit turns on and release it.
I tried it it worked well. (for Kenwood DDX7017 ).

shut off the unit .press and hold for 30 seconds SRC and reset . then while pushing the SRC release the reset botton,hold it until the unit turns on and release it.

Cancelling the DEMO MODE is explained on page 29... as follows....

Select the Demonstration mode
Push the Control knob to [FM] or [AM].
Select the "DEMO" display.


Set the Demonstration mode
Press the Control knob for at least 2 seconds.
Each time the knob is pressed at least 2 seconds,
the Demonstration mode switches "on" or "off"

The function DEMO MODE canĀ“t be set off. I want to set any wall paper and the DEMO MODE stay ON.

To turn OFF DEMO mode - go to page 50 of the manual.... and find the following-

1 Select the Demonstration mode
Push the Control knob to [FM] or [AM].
Select the "DEMO Mode" display.

2 Set the Demonstration mode
Press the Control knob for at least 2 seconds.
Each time the knob is pressed at least 2 seconds,
the Demonstration mode switches as shown
below.

Demo Mode "ON"
Demo Mode "OFF"

To turn off demo mode. Hold down the src button and hit the reset button and release it. Continue holding down the src button until the system is fully rebooted. You will then be able to eject your cd and it will be out of demo mode. Came from Kenwood tech support.

To turn off, Press and hold in the SRC button and while holding press the reset button. Continue to hold the SRC button until the unit powers back on.

Demo mode problem


From the user's manual (pg.23): 1. Select the Demonstration Mode. Push the Control knob towards [FM] or [AM]. Select the "DEMO" display. 2. Set the Demonstration Mode. Press the Control knob for at least 2 seconds.
