SOURCE: microwave oven exhaust fan

The Intake is gentle. It is not designed to have a great pull of air from the Cook Top.

TEST: Turn Exhaust Fan ON
Hold a sheet of your printer paper up to the INTAKE GRILLE (bottom). Will the sheet of paper stay? Held up only by the suction? If it does, Air Intake is OK.

SOURCE: Flame sensor

According to the service manual here, it is 331F / 167C.

The part number is 6172000381 and you can order that from Encompass (formerly Tritronics). Or you can call them toll-free at 866-779-5835.

If you sub it, it should be within about 5 degrees C of the original.

What does e3 mean on a Samsung microwave

Temperature of exhaust air too
High
Let it cool down?
Cause:
The oven cavity gets too hot due to excessive
operation with no load or small load, or due to
some blocking materials around the Air Filter or
Air Exhaust at the back of the oven.
Remedy: • Open the oven door and check if 1) the oven
has been operating with no load or too small
load, 2) the air filter is placed in a wrong
position, or 3) any blocking materials exist
around the Air Exhaust. Cool down the oven (for
approx. 30 min) under the normal temperature.
The oven is back to normal when the error
code "E3" disappears and "ON" appears again
in the display window.
• Unplug the power cord, remove the blocking
materials around the ventilation openings, cool
down the oven (for approx. 30 min) sufficiently,
plug the power cord in again and check if the
error code appears again.
• If the symptom persists even when the oven is
cooled down sufficiently, contact the nearest
service centre

Verify the sensor temperature reading is at room temperature (typically 50?F to 90? [10?C to 32?C]) and verify failure code. If failure code matches complaint, continue to Step 2. 2. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power. 3. Disconnect sensor from ACU PCBA. 4. Measure HF NTC resistance between connector pins and confirm reading is between 9.5k??and 10.5k??at room temperature. If measurement is not correct, or if a short or open circuit is found, replace sensor. 5. Replace all parts and panels before operating. 6. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power. 7. If the sensor temperature reading is still not correct, replace ACU PCBA. 8. If failure does not appear, stop.

I don't know why my microwaves keep beeping and starts the Exhaust Fan automatically every 5 mins. The display says F-3. Please help me with the problem I'll appreciate.

F-3 is usually for the temperature sensor being faulty. What you need most likely is to replace the temperature sensor. This would explain why your microwave oven exhaust fan keeps going off, because your temperature sensor is telling it that it is overheating even though it isn't.

Error message of "F3" appears

F3 or F4
Open or shorted oven temperature sensor (RTD)

Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.

Keep us updated.

Kenmore Gas Range model # 362.75491990 F3 error Oven will not hold temp - error message displays and beeps I Replaced the oven temp sensor same issue Is the control panel bad?

Hi,

Many models of the GE microwave have sensors that can detect humidity from the foods you are cooking. This allows the microwave to make adjustments to the power levels used to cook your food. If "Sensor Error" appears, you should either press "Clear" to cancel the mode or leave the food in the appliance longer to give the microwave more time to detect the food.

Press "Time Cook" to manually enter the time if you receive an error message when trying to use the "Sensor Reheat" mode of your GE microwave. The error message may be caused by the food item being too large or too small to detect.

these are some other code error that will help you in case of next time.

  1. Step 1 Press "Off/Cancel" (or "Cancel/Off" depending on your model) to clear the error code. Note the code if it reappears.
  2. Step 2 Replace the touchpad if the code displayed is "F0," "F7" or "F10." A function key is stuck or shorted.
  3. Step 3 Replace the touchpad or the clock (ERC) if the code "F1" is displayed. Disconnect the ribbon connector to the touchpad. If no code is displayed after an hour, replace the touchpad. If the code displays again, replace the clock.
  4. Step 4 Replace the oven temperature sensor if "F2," "F3" or "F4" is displayed. "F2" indicates the oven temperature is too hot and the oven temperature sensor is suspect. "F3" or "F4" indicates the oven temperature sensor or shorted or open.
  5. Step 5 Replace the ERC if "F5," F6" or "F8" is displayed. The ERC is the main control unit. "F5," F6" and "F8 are codes that indicate problems in the ERC functions.
  6. Step 6 Inspect the door-lock assembly and circuit if "F9" is displayed. The door must lock when the oven is in use. If the lock mechanism is not functioning or if the detection circuit is malfunctioning, the stove will display "F9."

jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); }); NOTE:

"F3" codes mean your oven temperature sensor has failed or shorted out. The only thing you can do is to replace the sensor.

Take care.

I have an over the stove kitchenaid microwave w exhaust hood. About 1/2 hour after boiling water on my stove, my microwave comes on. I have unplugged the microwave-----any ideas?

The issue is probably your exhaust fan on your microwave comes on automatically when it detects a certain temperature. Mine does this as well but will turn off automatically after temperature goes down.

Spacemaker beeping loud and f3 message driving us crazy

The error code F3 indicates an oven sensor problem. The oven sensor is most likely the failed part. The oven sensor probe must have the correct resistance readings at specific temperatures. When the electronic range control (ERC) cannot identify the correct resistance of the oven sensor or the resistance is way out of specs F3 will display.
I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your oven.

Microwave Ultrawave with Hood fan

You are right. f4 means shorted oven temperature sensor (RTD). Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.
