500 watt tower spkrs unable to hook up to tvhoo

If the speakers are powered with their own amplifier, then connecting them to the audio out terminals on the TV will work. If the speakers have no amplifier, then they will never work on your TV. You must go to the audio setup on the TV to redirect the sound to the external jacks.

No sound out of tower

Try different inputs. Connect your output to a different amp to check there is a signal there. Sorry to suggest this but often it's a simple solution, check carefully that all controls - volume etc - are turned up enough. Check the two parts of the tower and where it connects to the base are connected properly

The "audio jacks" on the rear of your Samsung TV are intended to connect TV audio to an amplifier. Your CV XD3s should be connected to the amplifier output.

How to add an Exterior Speaker to Sony KV-13M10

Welcome to FixYa!

To add an exterior speaker to Sony KV-13M10, you have to have an AMPLIFIER.
  • At the back of your TV you will be able to see 3 RCA output namely = VHF/UHF, Audio and Video.
  • Use an RCA cable and connect to the Audio output.
  • At the back of your amplifier, connect the other end of the RCA cable to an RCA input labeled Audio - L (left, usually in white color).
  • Your speaker should be connected to your amplifier labeled output or audio out. The connection type depends on the make and model of your amplifier. The speaker wires usually come in red and black color. red goes to red, black goes to white.

A simple diagram will look like this:

TV audio out -------------> amplifier audio in (left, white color) amplifier audio out (left, white color) -----------> speaker (black wire) amplifier audio out (right, red color) ------------> speaker (red wire)

Thank you for using FixYa.
Have a great day.

No audio sound from HDMI connection from TV to Onkyo 606 amp.

you have the output of the receiver going to the input of the TV?

i believe that you should be running the TV output to the receiver input to get your sound from the TV to the receiver and thus speakers.

the easiest setup is to just run your cable box and DVD player HDMI's into your TV inputs. then run another HDMI from the TV output to the receiver input.

No sound from a Philips model 60P8341...

Hello Jarvis1,

This is an indication that the actual sound output is working, but the amplifiers to the speakers are not. How you could take care of this is to check in there are any loose connections to the speakers. Then check if you have sound coming from the leads of the output stereo amplifier (You will need the schematic and an audio tracer/tracker to find this location and test for sound). I would venture that there would be no sound from the amplifier. If not you will have to replace the amplifier chip. I would suggest getting a qualified TV technician to perform this task. If you do have sound at the output of the strereo amplifier chip, then it might be a case of the earphone jack switch being broken, let me explain when you plug in your earphone the speakers are disconnected by a switch in the earphone jack if this switch is broken it could disable the speakers and produce these results. There is also the possibility that you have the speaks disabled from the menu of your TV (check this too, actually check this first).

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

I HAVE A 15' KICKER L7 2 OHM WITH A DIAMOND AUDIO 2 CHANNEL BUT AM ONLY USING 1. HOW DO I WIRE THE VOICE COILS

hi so you have to connect your minus point of your speaker to the positve channel 1 amplifier output, after you connect the positive channel 2 output amplifier to the first coil connection (no polarised) and the second coil connection to your positive point of your speaker, this solution if you can bridge your amplifier to one channel output.
if you can't bridge your amplifier, you have to connect your minus point of your speaker to the negative channel 1 amplifier output, after you connect the positive channel 1 output amplifier to the first coil connection (no polarised) and the second coil connection to your positive point of your speaker

I hope this helps
