Question about Fisher and Paykel AeroTech Double OD302 Electric Oven

Open Question

Fisher Paykel OD302 double wall oven. Question regarding the top mounted exhaust fan assembly and the electrical distribution block.

Fisher Paykel OD302 double wall oven. Removed the top cover to access components. Rear right corner there is an exhaust fan assembly (vent fan) with two lead wires: one red the other blue. The blue one came off. From what I can tell it connects to the distribution block located at the rear left. Lead can reach and easily plug onto either the 1st or 2nd connection section of the distribution block. I can't figure out which of the two terminals to reattach the blue wire to!

SOURCE: I have a F & P wall double oven model OD302,

The name F&P says it all! If there was any brand that gave the most problems, in products then F&P is the first on the list. With LG as the second

You say this is possibly a new installation of only 2 weeks. Don't dither around seeing if its a simple fix, get the installers/sellers back to fix it . It will probably need replacing as the control is faulty.

Thanks for using FIXYA

SOURCE: F3 fault code on fisher & paykel wall oven.

hELLO THERE:
on these ovens the f-3 can sometime be incorporated with the f-4 error code also so here is the code and the things to look for both ok ?
F3 - F4 Open oven temperature sensor (circuit) (over 2700 ohms) or, shorted oven temperature sensor. Could be a result of:
· contamination on terminals
· pinched wire in oven temperature sensor circuit
· cold solder joint on control. · Disconnect power to range and remove oven temperature sensor connector from control.
· Measure oven temperature sensor resistance at oven temperature sensor connector (take care not to damage terminals in block) - Should read 1100 ohms at room temperature (approx 72 degrees F).
· Measure each oven temperature sensor lead from connector block to ground. If shorted, look for pinched or cut wire in oven temperature sensor circuit.
· Check connector terminals - Look for deformed or corrosion on terminals. Repair or replace.
If all above is ok replace control.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

This indicates a open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Bottom oven not heating. Both light and fan are working.

If fan is working o/k then it is usually the oven element that is faulty, this should be located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.

You need to replace the temperature sensor in the top oven cavity. I can't get you a part number or price because I can't find any service info without exact model number. Contact your local appliance parts store. It is easily replaceable with just a coupla' hand tools.

Fischer paykel double drawer motor runs constantly and will start

Is it the actual oven fan located on the back wall of the cavity behind the fan shroud or is it the cooling fan which is at the top of the cavity and blows air across the top of the oven? The cooling fan can't actually be seen.
