Not all HDMI cables have sound on them. You may have to get audio with RCA cables.

Testimonial: "Will try RCA connection as suggested. Thanks for help. Very prompt reply."

How do I connect my sky to tv

Without specifics on your TV or SKY box I can only offer general information. The SKY digital satellite receiver will have a number of outputs for connection to your TV. There will be a co-axial output similar to a TV aerial connection which is for older TVs and most flat screen TVs won't be able to tune into this RF output. There will be a large black rectangular connector which is a SCART connector and this can usually be connected to most flat screen TVs with a suitable SCART lead. There should also be a small connector called a HDMI output which is now the most common way of connecting to flat screen TVs, requiring a HDMI lead. Depending on which method you use to connect to the TV, you then use the TV remote control to select the input you used, which could be listed as SCART, AV1, AV2, HDMI1, HDMI2 etc.

HOW I CAN HAVE OUTPUT FRO AUDIO LINE ROM LG 55LH5000???

Hi, sorry but Most LG's no longer have audio outputs. The easiest way to get it ,You need to take the audio output from the source i.e. "cable box output"..if you have of course...
However whether your TV has this output or not we need to make some tests..5 different connections possibilities provided below.
(not by priority..you can start with any of it ).Below ,there is a sample TV back panel picture as well
Possible CONNECTIONS:
1) 2x RCA ports red / white is audio out ( L + R ) of TV to Stereo..
2) You can get also the audio digital output from the TV to a A/V receiver. the tv's optical audio out is stereo only mainly designed for freeview or tv audio to be output,
set the audio ouput on the TV menu to Dolby Digital, connect a digital optical out directly to the A/V receiver to receive audio signals.
3) since your TV has :2 x HDMI, SCART, AV, Component Video, VGA-sub, USB 2.0, connections, you may use the SCART plug to get Audio output for your TV .
TV's SCART connector which has 21 pins and "2x Audio Output " pins should be in it.
you need to buy an adapter called " RGB Scart Male to 3 RCA AV Female Adapter Converter" that can easily be found any electronic Market..one example as found eBay URL is below..
http://cgi.ebay.com/RGB-Scart-Male-3-RCA-AV-Female-Adapter-Converter-/130389078197
After you get this adapter, you need to carry the audio signal from SCART's RCA plugs to your Receiver with a 2x RCA (white/red ) cable.(if this does not work ,mfg should state somewhere in the manual..as your TV's "SCART socket IN only" ) if you properly connect IN/OUT plugs you will able to get the audio signal of the TV thru stereo..I recommend 2 $ value "RGB-Scart-Male-3-RCA-AV-Female-Adapter-Converter" with IN/OUT switch on it.
4) use HDMI connection of TV if you have HDMI input on your stereo of course...
5) if these are not an audio-out on one of these connectors , so you'll need to use the headphone socket if you want to plug it into a stereo. you need a cable 2x RCA to 3.5mm Headphone jack.
( This is the last ditch solution , since it mutes the whole sound.) ..
NOTE: if you connect this, pls be careful, your TV voice level will drive the stereo volume....

Hope this helps!..if more help requires Would you please let me know the result ?
Take care and please

How do you connect the Virgin VHD box to LG RZ32LZ55 TV for getting HD and also the audio. For the audio the V HD box has a optical audio port and a test port ( i am not sure it works!). The TV has a DVI...

All you need is an hdmi-dvi adapter. You will also need a component audio lead to plug into the mini(3.5) jack socket on the tv as dvi does not carry sound. You will need to initially use the scart to set up your tv for hdmi as the menu can only be seen via the scart until you set it up.

I am about to receive an LG32LF4700 Freesat/HD TV If I disconnect the SKY Box and connect the TV direct to the Dish cable will I receive Freesat HD channels. Also can I connect an extra bedroom TV into the...

Yes you can split the signal out from the back of the Freesat/HD (not the TV)to the second TV.
Look what outputs are on the Freesat box - the RF (standard cable) output should go to the 2nd TV (TV set to CH3) and the a/v cables,HDMI or DVI cable should go to the new TV - Note:To receive HD the output from the Freesat should be either HDMI,DVI or Composite output (RGB video jacks) with red White for audio. If you have HDMI this is best - it also provides audio.

PLUGED IN HDMI CORD AND I NOW HAVE NO SOUND THROUGH THE TV

Some of these sets have to run seperate red and white RCA cables along with the HDMI. I know it sounds silly but it is the truth. Look for audio inputs on the back near the HDMI port.

I have put a scart lead from the av1 socket on the dvd (panasonic) to the cable box vcr connector on the back of the cable v+box and run a hdmi cale from the hdmi socket on the dvd to the hdmi2 socket on...

Ok, first thing first if you have a cable box and a dvd player both been connected with HDMI cables direclly to the TV you just need to run a cable from the TV were it says audio out into your receiver.
This way everytime you change from Cable box and DVD the audio automaticly will change as well.

LG Plasma 42PC56 optical digital audio out

I can't imagine your setup. Box, tv and pc speakers?
Typical setup would be box, tv and some kind audio system with optical IN. Correct wiring would be connect box to tv via scart and connect optical cable from BOX to audio system. You have to go from box not from TV since scart connection doesn't carry audio signal. To have TV to output optical audio out you would have to connect it to box via hdmi.
