Hello I'm fixing my poulan pro ppb200 gas

My service center told me that they are allowed only 2 of these adjuster per year. It has to do with the air quality issue. They don't want back-yard fixer-uppers to pollute the place up. True store - I could not believe it.

The BLUE wire-splice connector, the one that you crimp after you put a wire in each end, is supposed to fit snug around those screws and allow you to adjust them. However I could not get it to work.

If you take a hack saw and cut the lip from around the adjuster screws and then cut a slot in the adjuster screws themselves, you will be able to set those screws with a flat-head screwdriver.

The whole operation takes about 9 pushes of the hacksaw. The lip is aluminum and the set screws are a very soft steel.

Good luck
John

I have a pro mac 700. I need to put the brake

An example of a McCulloch Pro Mac 700 (12-600061E) follows:
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/MCC/12-600061E-PRO-MAC-700-04%2F77-to-01%2F88-IPL-93714-R7/139.12-600061E-PRO-MAC-700-04%2F77-to-01%2F88-IPL-93714-R7.1.59.1.html
There is also an 11- prefix and A,B, & D suffixes. The "Chain Brake" detail appears to be the same and may help.
All 600061 McCulloch chainsaws can be found here:

I would inquire here:

The phone has never provided an answer to a chainsaw question. Please try the e-mail and be specific. Pretend no one except you can actually see the problem.

This gent (leeha - active) has 5 of your saw, I will wager if requested in a PM, he will take a few close-up photos of a chain brake.

On the underside of your saw you can probably find a yellow and black tag with the serial and model numbers (600061?)
Part numbers are listed. HTH

Make sure the saw is pumping oil to the bar and chain and that the chain turns by hand freely. If ok, is there a sheared or missing key between the clutch center hub and the crankshaft?
