THE MACHINE RUNS VERY WELL QUIET UNTIL THE FINAL SPIN CYCLE THEN FROM THE BACK OF THE MACHINE THERE IS A SQUEAL THAT GETS LOADER AS THE SPEED PICKS UP

This may well be the drum drive belt in the back of the washing machine. This belt transfers drive from the motor to the drum for both wash cycles and spinning. If the belt is slipping slightly on the pulley then a squeal may well be heard on the spin cycle and will change in pitch as the speed of the drum increases. At lower speeds (wash cycles) the belt probably won't slip. I don't personally know of this model but there is usually a tension adjustment nut/bolt near the motor to tighten the belt and stop it slipping.

Clothes are still wet after full spin cycle

Possible that the SPIN Speed is too low, check the drive, the RPM of the motor. Check for friction of the spindle , check for free movement of the drum. If you notice a change then you will need to reset the mechanism. If the motor speed is low check the capacitor.

Soaking wet clothes after spin cycle

Check and choose a longer spin cycle and see if the fault changes. If so the SPIN cycle is too less or there is less action or speed in the cycle, check the motor speed, check the capacitor to the motor, the spindle friction - if so reset the spindle and drive.

Maytag Washer LA712 spin cycle question

Remove the front panel (2 screws bottom front) and then put the machine into the spin cycle. Be VERY carefful as the transmission also spins and can really injure you if you get to close. Observe the speed in the spin cycle. Then grab the plastic motor cover and gently pull the motor toward the outside corner. If the spin speed increases then you have a problem with either the 2 springs or 4 rollers inside the floating motor mount. See this link http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspxmodel_id=28967 The Matag part number that would be the ideal fix is 2-5000. To change the rollers you must remove the pulley and motor mount.

The springs are Item 18. You may have to explain to any parts center what rollers you want.

Hotpoint Aquarius WMA46 front loader

I 've had this problem a few times with these machines.

Some solutions that have worked for me are.

1 change the motor.
2 change the wiring loom
3 change the board.

The most common one is the motor even when the it has decent brushes the motor just will not pick up speed on the spin cycle.

hope this helps.
