I have a 2003 Evinrude 225 that isn't getting power to the spark plugs. Thought it was bad plugs, changed them and still no spark. What could be the problem.

Have you checked the wires? I recall my ex got someone to put new plugs in his car. When he tried pulling the wires off plugs they actually crumbled in his hand.

2003 2 stroke evinrude 225 hp outboard will run at high speed about 5-7 min than starts shaking seems like not all cylinders are firing. if i shut off the motor and restart it will run another 5 min.

check the plugs if they wet its getting too much oil in the mix. if dry and black plugs then it could be not enough oil or fuel in mix.

I have a 1981 johnson 75hp charger. blew powerhead so i bought an evinrude powerhead that was omc identical. I have no spark. wiring issues.Thought johnson and evinrude was same wiring?

go google and type in --wiring schematics for johnson outboard motor 75 hp 1981 model --- and see if there is a pdf version for down load
repeat the search but change the name to evinrude and look for a pdf version down load
go to a dealer service center and see if you can get a schematics for each from them
while it can be expected that the wiring should be the same as each brand is made in a different factory there could be a slight difference in the wiring set up that is causing the problem

50hp no spark to both plugs

first, do not use the spark plugs to test for spark. They could be fouled. (another lesson) use new plugs or a spark tester, This a HOT (powerful) ignition system so be careful. Test for spark. No then, find the black wire with the yellow tracer is the ignition kill circuit, (or it was, should still be) I would disconnect it from the ignition switch and test for spark. Do not touch this wire during or after testing, it will hurt. if you have spark, ground the wire back to the terminal to discharge. You probably have a bad key switch. more if this does not work

1996 Evinrude 9.9hp, 2-stroke power loss.

Checked the vent cap on the fuel tank?
Check if it runs again great after pumping fuel...
Check when it drops power if both spark plugs still sparks...
You can have a bad coil or cdi...

Check your carb. vent tubes, they may be plugged w/dirt. or try running w/out vents hooked up, to test.
