Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

The heating element has gone in my Haier HNS TVE washing machine. Is the element accessible from the front or the rear of the machine?

I can't find a repair manual to help with my repair. Don't want to strip the back off if the element is accessed from the front of the machine and vice vice . Hope you can help.

Go to www.repairclinic.com and enter the model. With luck, you will be presented with a list of common repair parts and may be able to view a generic Haier video showing disassembly and identifying parts.

Change heating element Samsung Dv5451aew Front Load Dryer

On most front load machines the first piece that must be removed to access anything is the top. There are a couple of screws/bolts at the top rear that secure it. It then opens, sometimes by sliding it slightly rearward fist to release the catches. Then you can start removing other panels.

More than likely the heater element has failed.
This is located at the rear of the washer drum.
It means removing the rear half of the cabinet to access it.

Machine not spinning out comes up error7 it is a haier hns 1460 tve model , pump is filling up and emptying drum ok , took back cover off belt and spider both fine drum turns if you turn belt what could be...

Check lid switch.

If you have wash action from then the motor is most likely O.K.

If your lid switch is faulty, the machine stops before the spin cycle.

Once you remove the rear access panel, you would see the main pulley on the rear of the outer tub. You need to remove that nut with a metric allen wrench. once the pulley is off, you can then remove the bolts holding the yoke in place. The Yoke and the bearings are available as a part assembly from haier. It is highly unlikely that you would need to replace the outer tub.
