Why does my Swann have no display?

If you checked all cable connections and made sure you monitor is set to the right input and working properly, if the dvr has multiple outputs try them all first. If none of that works it maybe the the video card on your unit is bad and may need replaced. Swann dvrs typically only last a couple years because the are garbage.

Driver for win 7 64 bit please

Hi jirodia !
Unfortunetly Swann Communications does not provide driver for Windows 7. However, there is a driver for Windows Vista. You can give it a try, as most Vista software will also work on Windows 7. you can download it here: ftp://ftp.swann.com.au/drivers/pcdvr4net/latest/pcdvr5.3.0.2.exe
Best of luck, omerk.

Im using windows xp sp2 and my startup is incredibly slow. im using alienware themes and alienware dock starts on startup.other than that ive changed the startup tune to something i converted on my own....

Sounds like you are running out of ram for the program. Try upgrading to some more ram in your system. Windows xp recommends minimum 512k of memory to run.

Startup does it have a virus

Can you hear the drive startup? Is the drive present in the BIOS? Press f8 key when rebooting. One of your choices should be disable auto-restart. This will allow the blue screen to stay and you can see what kind of error the machine is giving. Are you pressing f1 to continue with no drive found or drive settings have changed? Assuming your using XP try booting from the CD. Act like your going to do a fresh install. The install should find and existing install. From there select repair. You will have to download all your updates and may need to re-activate XP. But it could get you up and running as long as the the board on the drive isn't fried. Let me know what happens. Good Luck, Tim
