My wife has a Shop Rider that looks like yours. It had a problem at a football game on Saturday, where it would not go. She removed a pile of coats and blankets from the handlebars and it worked. I'm not sure why it behaved that way. I googled Shoprider and downloaded a manual a couple of years ago. That may help. My manual says there is a circuit breaker under the rear cover accessable through a hole under the seat.

Have a borrowed Rascal 250 motorized scooter that seems to be charged as indicator is green but cannot get it to run.

If you can push the scooter freely then have a look at the very back of your scooter near the rear tires. There is a leaver there that needs to be moved into a locked position to engage the system.

Also a scooter will not function if the charger is attached.

How many miles can I get from a fully charged Freerider Ascot 4 mobility scooter? My scooter seems to run out of charge after a few miles.

11 miles on full charged new batteries, this is approximately as condition change max distance, like you weight, if you are going uphill, how even the ground is etc. if you need more you could get a spare battery pack for it, and swap them over when needed. but remember to keep them charged even when not in use once a week is the best way to keep them in good shape.

The scooter charges and shows full charge when started. Scooter will not drive uphill - certainly seems to lack torque - when driving up hill battery indicator drops to red

Either the hill is too steep of a grade/incline, the weight of the rider is more than the scooter is designed to carry, or the battery does not have enough power. If the batteries are old or have not been maintained properly, they may not be getting a deep solid charge that is needed to operate on hilly terrain. This is indicated when the batteries show a full charge, and then drop off quickly after a short period of use. Make sure that you are not exceeding the recommended weight limit for the scooter and that your batteries are less than 2 years old. Inclines of more than 5-6 degrees are typically not recommended for safe operation.
I hope this information is helpful to you, good luck!

Scooter will not move

Start with the batteries. They need to be fully charged for operation. Make sure the brake lever is in the locked position for travel. If all OK check the limit switch on the brake assembly to see if it is functioning properly. If it is not closing, then the scooter thinks the brake lever is in the push mode.

When charging the battery for the mongoose m200 electric scooter, do you turn the scooter power on, or leave it off

Hi. Some scooters have a circuit breaker that connects the power to the controller and motor, is neccessary to have this on.
Most scooters have a lock and key to turn them on with, and in nearly all cases, it is not neccessary to have this key to charge. If in doubt, try it both ways and see what happens.
Good luck. Neil.

I have a Rascal 600f scooter that seems 2 work okay except both the power meter and charging meter indicates energy loss wrong. As the power is used the meter very very slowly goes down from full charge...

It is pretty common for the meters on the charger to either not work at all, or give an inaccurate reading. They get bounced and dropped, and they aren't that well built to begin with. Basically, just ignore the charger as long as you are getting a full charge out of it, and getting good distance with each charge.
