SOURCE: RF263 series Samsung Refrigerator just began

Hi

The sound comes when there is ice build up around the fan and the fan will hit it causing this sound. You can try to leave it unplugged for around 4-24hrs and also make sure that the area near the back is clear so that airflow can get through. If the issue returns then replace the thermostat. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

SOUNDS LIKE YOUR FAN MOTOR IS EITHER LOOSE OR THE MOTOR IS ABOUT TO GO OUT(NOISE INSIDE COULD BE GEAR IN MOTOR GRINDING WHILE WORKING) it stops when you open the door which shuts off he fan motor to help prevent loos of refrigerated air.

I have samsung french door refrigerator 2 door 2 drawer with vibrating a noise. I have removed the back panel and the noise does not seem to be cominng from this area. any suggestions.

We have a different model Samsung, and I've heard a vibrating or buzzing noise twice. First, if the water filter isn't an exact fit (even Samsung's filters rattle), it will rattle. Second, if either of the ice makers gets stuck or jammed, it can make a vibrating noise. If our freezer drawer isn't making a good seal, ice will build up under the drawer or in the slides. Ours makes more of a humming noise, when this happens. Other areas to check: something stuck in the runner of your drawers or shelves (if yours pull out). There are also vents that draw air in and out of the cooling unit, and things in front of them may vibrate or rattle, too.

Water under fridge sometimes

You may want to remove all the food, unplug your fridge, and the out the whole thing...melting the ice and cleaning out all the unwanted water. The drawer will be removable, and you can dry under it. Also check the overflow tray under the fridge, if there is one...it'll be full from all the melting.

GX5FHTXVY Energy Star Gold 24.8 Cu. Ft. French Door Bottom-F

I am not a mechanic, but I do like to fiddle around with problems, to sort of i give my hand a 'try' at it. My next venture is to unplug the freezer, let it stand for a few hours, and re-plug it back on and see what happens. You never know. So, let's give it a go. That's it for now for me.

My freezer has bad ice build up on bottom and were air comes out

You have a drain pluged up in the freezer. You need to remove the bottom door and rollers take the back panel off and clear the drain.Use hot water after you get most of the ice out and take the back off the fridge and look for water to come in the pan.

Knocking noise coming from Whirlpool Gold refrigerator

I also have a new Whirlpool Gold fridge (bottom freezer with French doors) and it was making a knocking sound. The knocking sound would start when the fridge kicks in and starts running to cool, and would last for about a minute or less and be a slow knock.
I called Whirpool customer service since it is new and on warranty. They sent out a technician and he said the knocking is from gas/air built up in the copper tubing for the freezer because the copper tubing is too cold, and when the fridge first turns on it forces the air through, making the knocking sound.
His "fix" was to adjust the copper tubing so that it is closer to the heat of the motor/compressor and heat of another copper line so that the cooler line stays warm so the air/gas doesn't build up. His fix worked slightly, but the fridge is still knocking, just not as bad and not as long - it knocks fast for about 5 to 10 seconds instead of a minute.
Going to call customer service again soon and see where to go from here.
