Should be a icon on your keyboard that shows a mouse or touch pad icon - Just use your FN (Function key) and that icon to activate and to deactivate the pointer or touch pad.

Hope this information helps ya.

Monitor not working when plugged into laptop

On some laptops, you need to enable the external monitor port. Look at the number keys across the top of the keyboard. There should be some legends in blue on them. These are associated with the Function (Fn) key. One of the blue legends will most likely activate/deactivate the external monitor port. Press the Fn key along with the associated number key to activate/deactivate the monitor port.

Please can you help me.i can only type if i have the fn button pressed downn.what is wrong

Actually this depends on the model of the computer or the type of the Keyboard. Try pressing Fn+Numlk simultaneously, that will deactivate the Fn key. Pressing the Fn+Numlock keys activates and deactivates the Fn function.

Good Luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I have a Microsoft keyboard I need to use F2 as a function for my game, F2 does not seem to be working cant get it to work. Is there a fix.

I recommend you look at the last function keys. F10 F11 or F12. They typically activate your 'number' pad for use. You'll need to depress the Fn key along with one of these other keys to activate or deactivate the combo

Press Fn + F7 at the same time to activate and deactivate the touchpad.
