Question about Dryers

1 Answer

Hi we have a BEKO DWD4310W Dishwasher and it seems to be overheating (melting plastic items that have always been fine before) and always running a hot cycle. Might it be the thermostat?

The high limit sensor may have failed, allowing the dryer to run wild. This condition MUST be corrected to prevent a fire. If you look at the rear of the dryer you will likely see a scorched area surrounding the sensor.

Overheating dishwasher samsung

What do you mean "overheating"? Are you getting an error code that indicates it's overheating, or are all of your plastic dishes inside the dishwasher melting? If that's the case, then you have a bad controller, one in which the heater relay is stuck on, and you will have to replace the electronic controller.

I have same problem with mine (not BEKO) what I have discovered is, it seem to be where the water hasn't run off properly before drying, so I make sure I don't put anything in flat where water can collect. It's not always possible to put things in that are not flat, but try that

Dishwasher had a burning smell and smoke was coming out

If the smoke was coming from inside the dishwasher... A common problem is a plastic item , utensil etc has fallen down onto the heating element. During the drying cycle this could possibly melt the plastic and generate some smoke.

Beko Freestanding Dishwasher

Hi there ....this condition is ususally caused by a water leak into the sump of the dishwasher which activates a safety switch to run the drain pump..preventing the appliance from being used....Remedy...tip the dishwasher back in the head allowing excess water to exit from the sump...then with the door open check that the air vent lock ring is secure, thet the salt unit retaining ring is secure..and finally that the filter unit to base screws are secure...this done re-start and you should b fine
