the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

You may have a really hard time finding one. My only thought would be to buy a "broken" or "as is" i68 and part it.

This is probably a hardware problem, even though it started happening after a configuration change.
The part that connects the on/off button and the volumes is the same part. This flex cable connects these buttons (and some other parts) to the motherboard. This cable is frequently damaged when the Iphone is wet.
The good part is that it is a cheap part, and relatively easy to install.
You can find a replacement here:

Plug the phone into the charger. With or without the battery the phone should turn on when you hold the power button for more then 2 seconds. If the phone does not turn on then you should check with the manufacturer about getting a replacement under the Manufacturer's Warranty.

But if the procedure from above isn't working for your Android device, then use one of the following methods (the first one is for rooted handsets so be careful and try not to mess things up as you can end up in bricking your smartphone / tablet).
- Turn off you device.
- Then, reboot by pressing the Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously.
- Keep the buttons pressed for a short while - a few seconds - and then release the same.
- The recovery mode menu should be displayed.
- Note: on Samsung branded devices the recovery mode can be entered by pressing the Power, Volume Up and Home buttons at the same time.
