Transcend 160GB Portable Hard Disk is not recognized by computer

I tried almost 10 computers it is not recognized error pops up as i insert the external Hard Disk " Cant recognize,the haddisk may be malfunctioned ".I kept very important data in the hardisk but now i am not able to access the data due to the above problem

when you power up the computer press F2 or "del" key to enter in bios then go to usb option and enable usb 2.0 legacy. then save settings .
then check.
some times usb speed make issue so try this.
Also check your usb cable working fine try with other usb cable.
Also check harddisk jumper settings.
If still face problems then you need to repair it.
You shuold take it to service shop becasue you try with 10 computers and all gives same error then your harddisk has hardware issue.
