SOURCE: clock, power locks, power windows and radio not working

for the check engine light you will have to borrow a OBD2 code scanner from your local auto parts store and find out what the code is. although it may be related to: for your electrical problem there is a blown 10 or 15 amp fuse. just check your fuse box for one that is blown. there may be more than one. replace with same-amperage fuse and see if it happens again.

SOURCE: Magnavox CD Player Clock Radio not working

This Clock/Radio/CD player has had component failure problems. The unit is probably not worth repairing. The reason is the parts and repair information is probably very limited. The cost of the repair with parts and labor will be expensive. This repair would probably cost you more than just buying a new Clock/Radio/CD player. I hope this information helps you with your problem. Thank you for using FixYa and have a nice day!

I need help setting the alarm on my radio controlled digital clock.

1- Turn over your Seth Thomas digital clock. Use your finger to remove the cover to the unit's battery compartment. Insert two AA-size alkaline batteries into the battery compartment and replace the cover. Certain Seth Thomas digital clock units will also have an optional alternate power source in the form of a standard AC power cable that plugs into a wall outlet in your home.

  • 2 Place your Seth Thomas solar-powered digital clock in front of a light source, such as on a window sill or beneath a lamp. The black strip on the top of the unit is the solar sensor, so as long as light is shining down on that strip, your clock will be powered on and ready to use. The sensor stores energy throughout the day so that it can work at night with no direct light contact on the sensor.

  • 3 Press the time zone button that indicates your current time zone. These buttons are located on the back of the unit. For example, if you are in the eastern time zone select the "EST" button. Turn the unit back over. It will now be displaying the correct time on its digital screen.

  • 4 Use the "Alarm" switch (if applicable) to enable and disable the clock's alarm. Press the "Alarm" button, followed by the "Hour" and "Minute" buttons, to set the appropriate alarm time based on your needs. Use the "Alarm HI LO" switch to set the volume for the alarm.

  • 5 Press the "Weather" button to tune your Seth Thomas digital clock to its built-in local weather radio station (if applicable). Certain Seth Thomas clocks have this radio weather functionality built in, while others don't. If yours does, the aforementioned "Weather" button will be located on the front of the unit.

Alarm function quit working for sat. and sun.

You can try to take the battery out of the clock/radio and disconnect the plug. This will allow the microprocessor to lose power and reset itself to the factory set-up. It will take about a hour to make sure its discharged. Then put the battery back in the clock/radio and see if the functions return to normal. You can go to this web link.(http://www.emersonradio.com/owners) copy and paste this web link into the address bar of the browser and it will take you to the Emerson website with all the owners manuals listed by make and model. You can find you make and model clock/radio and follow the instructions for resetting the functions. I hope this information helps you with your problem.

I have an Emerson Smartset radio model cks1862 and cannot get the alarm to go off everyday. I already did everything the manual said to do to no avail. Any suggestions?

You will have to reset the Clock/Radio's microprocessor. To do this you have to unplug the Clock/Radio from the a/c outlet and remove the internal battery (CR2430). You must let the microprocessor completely drain by leaving it with out a power source for at least 2 hours. Then you can put the internal battery back in and plug in the Clock/Radio. Test and see if the functions have returned to normal. If they have not reset to normal functions, you then should replace the internal battery. Let the microprocessor drain of power again for at 2 hours and put in the new battery and test it again. It should return to normal function. If you are still having a problem, you may have a more serious problem with the microprocessor. The Emerson customer support telephone number is 1800-695-0098 you can call between the hours of 7am-5pm CT. Give them the make and model number of your Clock/Radio and ask them for assistance with your problem. I hope this information helps you with your Clock/Radio's alarm problem.

Alarm 1 won't go off when set to AM

Sorry it took so long to answer your question about the Clock/Radio. This look like a problem with the Clock/Radio's Microprocessor. You will need to reset the microprocessor by removing all power sources to the microprocessor. This means removing the Clock/Radio from the A/C power source and removing the internal battery (CR2430). After removing all the power sources from the Clock/Radio, let the Clock/Radio set for a period of about 3 hours. This will let the power completely drain from the microprocessor and reset it to the factory settings. You can then reinsert the internal battery and plug the Clock/Radio into the A/C power source. The Clock/Radio should have reset and the functions returned to normal operations. If The Clock/Radio functions have not returned to normal. You will need to let the Clock/Radio's microprocessor drain off the power again and put a new internal battery (CR2430). Then test the Clock/Radio's functions again. The Clock/Radio functions should have returned to normal operation. If you are still having problems getting the Clock/Radio to return to normal operation. You can call the Emerson customer support at this telephone number 1-800-909-1240- Call them between the hours of 8am to 4:30pm central time USA. Give them the make and model number of your Clock/Radio and ask them for their assistance. I hope this information helps you with your problem. Thank you for using FixYa and have a nice day!
