I want to save the channels and turn my antenna to another direction and scan I loose the channels that I had can I save them some how?

The only way that I solve this issue is to write down the channels available from one direction on paper. Do the scan in the second direction. Return the antenna to the first direction and then manually add the rest of the channels. Depending on the TV, you either type in the channel number with the remote control or find a Add Channel option in the TV Channel sub-menu.

At least with my TV that doesn't have an Add Channel option in the Channel section, going to a digital channel with the remote doesn't store the channel number if the signal isn't strong enough for the tuner to resolve. Analog channels can be added when the signal is poor.

If you know all of the local channels in each direction from AntennaWeb ( http://www.antennaweb.org ) or TvFool
( http://www.tvfool.com ), you can use that documentation to add the channels at each antenna direction.

I hope this helps. If you use an electronic antenna rotor with a remote control, you may be able to program turning the antenna automatically when you change the channel. Check the documentation for the device to program this.

(Note: on my TV that adds channels only when I type in the channel number, recorded digital channels can disappear from the list if if I visit a channel with poor signal strength. Until the antenna is directed towards that transmitter, I can't add the channel back into the list.)

TV is showing no signal. So I did a channel search and it stops and says unable to continue channel search due to error. I even unplugged - left for an hour and still does the same thing. I then hooked...

this could be a fault with the tv actual connector for the cable check the connection on the tv and try again or try a manual search to pick up one channel and then do a full scan also are you doing a scan to add channels to the current list as I would personally try and do a complete scan for all new channels list and see what happens

How do I add the HD channels picked up my HD antenna to the master channel list on my Visio TV?

Hello, with the set on, press the menu button, move the cursor down till the "Tuner" section is hi-lighted, click on it. Then the first selection is "Tuner Mode" click on it, the choose "Antenna" click on it. Then move to the "Auto Channel Scan" and click on it, and let it set all your channels. when done, just exit menu and change channels as desired. you can go to page 39 in your manual for these instructions: Tuner Mode
Select Cable or Antenna depending
upon which equipment you have
attached to the DTV / TV Input.
Auto Channel Search
Automatically search for TV channels
that are available in your area. Be
sure to first select the correct tuner
mode above. The TV will search for
analog and digital channels. When the
search is done, press EXIT to begin
watching your programs. thanks, Terry

We have a jvc tv with built in freeview ; yesterday we got the message on the screen pr list empty and now are stuck with 5 channels and no freeview ; how do we sort

What service company do you have for your TV? Is it dish network or direct tv etc. You can do a channel scan once you verify the service company. A cable service provider will only provide 99 channel to scan/sort while a satellite service provider will provide you more channels to sort/scan.

I have a model number sd-p503p-k i dont know how to add channels after channel 65?

You probibally need to re-scan your available channels. The TV goes through and grabs all of the available channels that it sees so you don't get any all static channels while your surfing the tube. The manual is actually about 35 megs so I cannot post it here, but here's what it says; - Hit Menu
- Select Setup
- Select Channel Setup
- Select Auto Channel Preset
- Select Antenna and change it to A or B, whichever one your using.
This should fix your problems, unless your area doesn't have channels past 65. If that's true then everything I just wrote is irrelevant, but there ya go!

Dont know how to do a channel scan on my samsung 2333hd t.v

Using the Color buttons on the Remote with the Channel List.
• Red (Antenna): Switches to Air or Cable.
• Green (Zoom): Enlarges or shrinks a channel number.
• Yellow (Select): Selects multiple channel lists.
• TOOLS (Option): Displays the Add(or Delete), Add to Favorite(or Delete from Favorite),
Timer Viewing, Channel Name Edit, and Auto Program menus..

Auto Program
The TV automatically cycles through all of the available channels and stores them in memory.
In rare cases, "Auto program" may miss a few channels due to weak signals and the channels may
not be added to the channel memory.
Air
Cable
Auto
MENU → arrow up, arrow down→enter → arrow up, arrow down→enter →arrow up, arrow down →enter →arrow up, arrow down, arrow left , arrow right →enter → MENU,EXIT.

Hope this helps. I have the owners manual on file.

Cant get all channels

Instead of doing auto scan the should be a option for channel list or add\delete or manual scan. What kind of tv is it? You don't have a cable box right? If you still have trouble, just comment on this.

Guide listings are incomplete

1. Manually scan all channels on your TV with your TV remote and write down the channels and network shown:
(sample: 119.2 C-SPAN2 digital channel).
2. Go to Edit Channels and find the icon for C-SPAN2 (about icon 261 in my zip code). Manually change the channel from Off to On, Insert the frequency, and optionally insert the number you want the channel to show in your channel listing ( or move it manually later).

I have about 10 to add each time I reset my recorder.
