SOURCE: We have been trying to print a map via the Canon

Shut off the device, pull the power plug. With the device un-plugged, push and hold the power button for about 5 seconds. Then you can re-connect the power and actually turn the device on. Now the issue you may be running into is the physical document you are trying to print is too large for the printers memory. You can fix this be scaling down the document, the steps to do that vary based on what application you are trying to print from, or you can increase the ram in your printer.

What to do if after canceling the printing in queue document its status is still showing deleting ?

Give it a few minutes. Sometimes it takes awhile to delete the document.

If that fails, turn off the printer, wait a minute, then turn it back on. The document should be deleted.

One green flash & 2orange flashes. when the lid is lifted, the carriage won't move to the middle.

First, turn off the printer.

Then, remove/delete all print jobs, if any (printer icon tray > show active printers > select jobs and press delete). If the jobs didnt get exclude and are keeping the status of "excluding/deleting", restart your windows.

After reboot, check if the jobs are gone. If so, turn on your printer and try to print again.

Trying to print a picture from my dell computer. when i hit print on the computer printer does not print. what button do i push on the printer itself. when i go to view/print it just says to insert memory...

With the printer power on, unplug and then plug in the printer from/to the computer. This should force the printer to be reinstalled.
Check the printer status.
Click START>Control Panel>Devices and Printers>click on your printer. check the status for any error messages. On the printer status, delete all pending jobs. Once the printer status display shows that all pending jobs have been deleted, retry printing.
Let me know if printing is reestablished. Thanks.

Print status = "deleting"/ unable to print or change status

Attempt to manually restart the Spooler service.

Click Start > Click Run > Type "services.msc" (sans the quotes) hit enter.

Right-Click on Print Spooler > Click Stop

Wait until it stops and the icon (if any) on the task bar goes away.

Right-Click on Print Spooler > Click Start.

From the options, stopping and starting is usually more effective.

Can't print because document won't delete

You need to restart the print spooler service. Go to control panel>Administrative Tools>Services>there will be a list of programs. Find Print Spooler and right click on it. Stop service then restart. That will clear the print queue and allow you to start printing again..good luck let me know if you have any questions.
