Hello I have a Fisher and paykel 7.5g smart drive excellence washing machine it doesn't spin and I can smell something burning.thanku Kelly

Has it drained the water out. It will not spin until completely empty. If it is not draining then Iwould say the burning smell is the drain pump overheating. Do not try to run it like that as the drain pump will short out the main control board eventually. Bail the water out by hand, tip the machine back against the wall and check the pump on the front right side of bowl. Replace the pump.

I can hear my fisher plow motor but the plow will not lift or angle

There solinoids on pump. Check wiring and grounds. Make sure all small wires are intact and in good condition. But most likely there's a loose corroded or green wire causing issue

Where is the pump and filter situated in a fisher and paykel 501 washing machine

These machines don't have filters,
All lint is pumped out with the grey water.
Turn off power & water taps before you remove the pump.
To remove pump tilt machine back on a 45 degree angle
against a wall, locate the white plastic pump lock tab push out and turn pump anticlockwise.

My fisher and paykel washing machine will not finish its cycle with a minute to go,

Can you tell me if the w/m is pumping the water out.The washing machine will not spin until all the water is out.
I would need more information ? If you tilt the washer back on a 45degree angle, you will see the pump, looks like a black fan blade on your right side.the windings should look shiny' copper' not burnt looking or white, which indicates a water mark.See if you can move the black impeller and remember to up PLUG the washing machine?

A lot of water remains in machine at end of wash cycle

The drain pump might have gone bad, check if the drain pump is making some kind of noise and also check if the drain pump is not obstructed.
You can open the coin trap on he right hand side bottom of the unit and clean the same for any blockage.

Washer will not do final rinse or spin

Before the final rinse and/or spin can start the pump has to kick in. Tilt the machine back on an angle, on the right-hand side (closes to the front) is the pump motor. there will be 2 sets of wires, one green (earth), the other (brown and white), make sure they have not become loose.
I had exactly the same problem, I just unplugged the brown and white with needle nose pliers and squeeze the end (don't break it) & plugged it back in.
DISCONNECT FROM POWER before doing any of the above, good luck.
