is the acer still covered by the warranty? you can get it repaired for free if it is, its a common fault with these, my friend over here in finland has one of those and it did the same thing, he got it replaced / fixed for free since it was under warranty. get yours fixed also.

It could be an issue with your LCD. To check it, connect an external monitor via RGB then boot up the laptop again. See if the laptop detects the monitor. It should automatically display on the monitor. From there point on, you can determine if the issue is the LCD.

There may be a pinched wire somewhere or a soldering joint that melted away, thereby cutting the power off to the monitor. If you can't take apart the laptop by yourself, bring it to a technician. If you choose to get rid of the laptop, remember that you can connect a standard monitor cable to it, and bypass the laptop monitor altogether.
