My computer says i need to activate windows and i dont know how.

I guess your operation system is windows seven, so you just do these steps: 1.click on "Start" menu 2. right click on the "Computer" 3. select "Propertise" 4. at the bottom of the window you can find a link for activating.
follow those steps, and your windows will be activated.

You know after installing Window vista,You need to activate it before you can use it otherwise you would be installing Window Vista every month which is not good. If you have a copy that came with the computer, the COA sticker should be on the side or back of the computer. If you bought it separately, it should be on the card in the box.

Its not necessary to activate it online. (Only if you download patches and ask for customer support).

never heard of it, meaningless to me... windows will always show you the activation box, so how you cant do this is starnge!

You can get the microsoft support, follow the instructions below.

1. Click Start
2. Right-click Computer.
3. Select Properties.
4. At the bottom of this window, click Activate Windows.

Follow the instructions carefully, and also as you said, you can see some of the product key right? what ever extracts you could make out , do specify them to the online microsoft support.

This will solve your problem buddy.

Did this come on a WinXP disc, or did Windows come preinstalled on the computer? If you lost the CD Key, you're going to have to call Microsoft tech support to get a key to activate it.

If you dont have a product key in your pc anywhere (in the case) then you need to buy the windows, most likely the price is around 140euro or over 200 usd
