Question about Pentair Pool & Spa
To reset the pump;
You will need to hold down all four speed buttons for a few seconds, then release them, then push select twice, you will see "0" highlighted, push the arrow up button to "1" then press enter, then shut the power down to the pump for about one minute, then power it back up and your pump should be back to factory settings.

Chances are that you have a bad relay, but the problem could be the main logic board. If there is a spare relay in the box switch all the wires from the pump relay onto the spare. Remember to shut off the breaker, and also you will need to change the wires on the top of the relay too, or you will have to do some reprogramming.

Yes, but not recommended. If you are going to use it on an above ground pump the system head will drop to a very low number and the pump will operate very high on its pump curve causing a couple of potential problems.
First, your filter will have to be rated for the high flow. I do not have Aqua Tools curves or numbers to give you an exact figure but if you have your horsepower you can look it up on the web. Your filter needs to be rated that high or you will have problems; even a filter failure.
Your pump will exceed the hose flow ratings and may require PVC plumbing to operate.
You should consider plumbing in a throttling valve on the pump discharge to help moderate these problems.

Next, as a suggestion. Purchase an Emerson Pool motor. The electrical connection is the same for 110/220 volts. All you have to do is move the switch by the electrical connections and select 110 or 220 volts. They usually come preset on 220 but I would check anyway. Also, don't forget the ground wire (green) and also connecting the bonding wire on the outside of the motor near the plastic cover for wiring. If you don't have bonding I would get it real soon! Hope this helps..
