Question about HTC Cell Phones
There are two sets of codes on a phone and there are no magic codes to unlock either, so forget that.
1. a Consumer set pass code or pass pattern. This can only be got rid of by a Factory Reset, AKA a Hard Reset. Google make model hard reset. Usually, hold power button and volume up button.
2. a PUK Code. This code has been put on by the cellular company that own the phone using an encrypted key at firmware level. They do this if the phone is reported stolen, if you are not buying their minutes, in default of payment, trying to use another cellular provider, or you have tried to unlock the phone with 10 failed attempts. The 6 digit lock code can only come from them.
