Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies
Have been printing all morning with no problems... just stopped with last two print requests...unplugged power, plugged in again...print cartridge moves back and forth like its going to print...but nothing.
Press and hold the cancel button and then press the start copy button release them together.
You should print a test page. No Test page an internal printer problem is likely!
If test page is good reset the spooler \. More than one way to reset spool file. Spool file controls transfer from computer to printer. Spool file a mess then printer hangs!!!
a. Go to Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services
b. Select "Print Spooler".
c. While Print spooler is stopped, start it by double-clicking on "Print Spooler" and then click the "Start" button.
d. Verify that the "startup type" is set to "automatic".
Create a new txt file
Type in exactly as the following text:
net stop spooler
net start spooler
Rename txt file killspool.bat
save on desk top
Double click off of desktop file to run
Next time printer hangs you can use this file again
Hope this helps?
