Where can I get a replacement for the broken latch on DC35 cyclone housing (to filter)?

Hi Bryan, it's Jack at Dyson.

You're correct - the DC35 cyclone assembly is supplied to us as a complete assembly, and for this reason individual components such as the catch aren't available for us to offer separately. However, if your DC35 is within our 2-year cordless guarantee period we may be able to help you.

When you have a moment, please give us a call on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU). Our experts will be happy to discuss this with you, and should be able to confirm if your machine is under guarantee.

Round filter keeps clogging and nothing gets thru to the canister

I was having this same problem with my Dyson, and then I realized that mine was caused by the rubber gasket inside the canister being too high. It somehow was pushed up allowing everything to go up into the “cyclones” and then on through to the filter. This probably happened when I separated the clear part of the canister and balanced the inside part on the floor. To solve this pull the rubber gasket down as far as it will go, on mine the grey plastic dips in about 1/8th of an inch above where this gasket should be located, and there should be no gap between the bottom of this gasket and the bottom of the canister. Also I used my old vacuum to clean out the inside of the cyclone as this was full of pet hair. The filter continued to catch the remaining pet hair that was inside the cyclone that my old vacuum could get to. This took about two or three “vacuum session” before it all cleared through and no more hair was collecting on the filter. I now always make sure that the gasket is all the way down as this same situation can also lead the cyclones becoming completely clogged, and destroying the vacuum. Hope this helps!

DC 11 issue

this may be due to diminished suction. have you tried cleaning out the filters? Try rinsing the filters throughly with water and then letting it COMPLETELY dry out before reinserting. Also try cleaning around all the rubber gaskets on the dirt bin.
