Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "LexmarkSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the drivers.

If you still have the install disc for your printer, re-insert the disc in your hard driver to repair any corrupted Lexmark printer softwares. You may try the driver from the Lexmark website:

How can i CONNECT MY X7170 PRINTER TO MY LAPTOP? I bought it cheap without any software. The x7170 is no longer sold by Lexmark. How can I use this printer?

Before connecting the printer to your computer, download the Lexmark X7170 driver from the Lexmark website for free. Go to this link Lexmark X7170 Drivers.
Select your operating system by clicking on change OS.

Click on FILTER.

Then click on the driver under Recommended Downloads.
Download, execute the file and follow the instructions on the software.

I have no cd to install my lexmark x7170 printer. I have found drivers online but online for Mac 10.5 and beyond. I have a 10.4.11. Where can I find the driver for this computer online?

Probably, but the latest driver for your model is best downloaded from Lexmark support. Lexmark admits the lastest driver is probably not on the CD anyway!
